Founder & CEO Y-Mobility- Create, Cultivate and Connect the future of Mobility and Autonomous driving
As we move to more autonomy in vehicles, #semiconductors become ever more an important part of design, function, and influence. With that in mind, I decided to start the year with a short introductory blog post on #semiconductors to set the scene for AVs this year. #Cars #AutonomousVehicles #ElectricVehicles #Automotive #SoftwareDefinedVehicles #AI
#Semiconductors have been part of our vehicles even since the 60s with the ECU. But modern vehicles range from 1,000 - 3,000 semiconductors depending on the level of autonomy involved. Our CEO David Fidalgo has written a piece on semiconductors, looking at some key discussion points over production, shortage, design influence, and the role of the automaker/tech company. Take a 5 minute break and have a read! 📖 https://lnkd.in/e3ZuwmN2 What do you think is the most critical issue we face with semiconductors? #Cars #AutonomousVehicles #ElectricVehicles #Automotive #SoftwareDefinedVehicles #AI

Last year was hard time for both growth-stage firms and investors. Yet I believe that it was one of the best times to invest in innovative firms. Here are indurstries/products that I invested last year. 1. Quantum device/computer. 2. Membrane for hydrogen energy. 3. Data solution for AI, autonomous driving, smart city and robotics. 4. Autonomous vehicles. 5. Design solution for non-memory semiconductor. 6. ADC platform.

980nm wavelength VCSELs for higher robustness and lifetime, reported Sanjay Gangal for EDACAFESA SA about TRUMPF and KDPOF working together to implement new standard in #optical data communication within #automotive. The target is to bring to the market an integrated transceiver for multi-gigabit optical communications in automotive systems. Both companies pursue the goal of implementing state-of-the art optical data communication standards and solutions for the automotive industry. Due to the push in the automotive sector towards autonomous driving, a large amount of data must be processed in cars. Consequently, optical interconnects are required to manage the data flow as a nervous system, connecting sensors and electronic brains, while tight electro-magnetic interference requirements are met.
