We must take the UK from the challenges of wars and poisonous politics and engage the real potential that the UK have, the research methodology and the engagement of science in the UK is the world best and we must bank on this reality and invest more in serving the humanity and bringing true prosperity to the British nation , we are much better than being classed as warmongers , the potential is huge and it simply needs to be put in better order , the Science and technology way of life is the true British way of life , all good things are well calculated and researched 🤔

Great working with The Group of Eight CE and deputy chair of the European Australian Business Council (EABC) Vicki Thomson this last week in Europe/UK. Striking alignment between our priorities and big opportunities for Aus universities. I saw the importance of the advocacy work of the Go8 + EABC for Australia to achieve associate country status in Horizon Europe—the world's largest research and innovation (R&I) funding program. And we all saw the criticality of research infrastructure that brings scale to R&I. Enabling research to move beyond the 'breakthrough in the fume-hood' to 'pilot-plant scale-up' via strategic investments and strategic partnerships is an increasingly important part of research infrastructure planning.
