This allows for pilots to be iteratively tested, making improvements and pivots as needed, and incrementally understanding the requirements for sustainable programs. Proud moment of 2024: we developed a prototype of an autonomous truck with our small team in record time. It's crazy how much can be achieved when you put your mind to it. Working on this prototype was an intense ride, but wow, it was worth every moment. Here's what I learned from this journey: -Teamwork is everything: Having a small, tight-knit group meant everyone was essential. We relied on each other, learned from each other, and pushed forward together. -Focus and time management: With strict deadlines, we had to be supremely organized. Every minute counted and every decision mattered. -Innovation at its best: Building something from scratch — especially something as complex as an autonomous truck — challenges every skill you've got. And it’s the best feeling when it starts to work. -Celebrate the milestones: Remember to take a breath and be proud of the progress. Sometimes, the small victories mean the world. For me, this project was more than just work — it was a shared passion. There’s no better way to learn than by doing. And when you do it with people who share your drive, it’s magic. Can't wait for what’s next! 🚛💨

Discovering the Future of Robotics at Unitree HQ, and their Go2 and B2 wheeled versions. Our visit to Unitree Robotics' HQ in Hangzhou was nothing short of inspiring and captivating. We were introduced to their extensive product range, including the Go2, B2, and the groundbreaking humanoid robots G1 and H1. The quality, capability, and robust platforms of Unitree's products left us thoroughly impressed. The Go2 series stands out for its versatility and advanced features, making it ideal for both consumer and specialised industrial markets. The B2 range is tailored for universities and industries requiring high-performance robotic solutions, while the G1 and H1 humanoid robots are set to revolutionize research applications in top universities. We had the privilege of seeing the wheeled Go2 and B2 quadrupeds in actions as can be seen in this short video of the Go2. We are nearing the completion of the signing of the UK & Ireland agreement with Unitree, where in time Belvoir Rail will be developing a new sub division focused on Innovation and Robotic (more posts to follow in due course). But back to the story of our visit to Unitree and their range of advanced products. We are excited to introduce the versatile Go2 and B2 quadrupeds from Unitree Robotics, which are set to revolutionise various industrial applications. These advanced robotic platforms are not just about integrating new technology; they represent a significant opportunity for upskilling the workforce and enhancing job quality. The Go2 and B2 quadruped ranges demonstrate exceptional versatility and adaptability across multiple sectors.
