Luis de la Fuente's approach has been praised and has resulted in a more dynamic and resilient squad capable of adapting to different opponents and match situations. It promotes the importance of the ideology of 'having versatility in creativity'. Versatility in creativity is a vital asset in sports, where athletes and teams must constantly adapt to dynamic and unpredictable conditions. #euro2024 #football #teamperformance

The quarter final match between France and Portugal will be a riveting one, after France as the host in 2016, was defeated by a Portugal squad not as good as the present Portugal squad. The latter triumphed despite being underdogs. France, will face a tougher Portugal this time around, making for a quarter-final filled with so much poise. France arguably got their best redemption by winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup after two years of losing in the finals of a continental championship they hosted. That being said, revenge for the 2016 loss will still definitely be in the offing. It is also worthwhile to note the following; 1. France are yet to score from open play in the tournament, with their only goals coming from a penalty by Kylian Mbappe and two goals from the opposing team. 2. Portugal do have a record of ups and downs in the tournament, with two wins, a loss to Georgia, and a win over Slovenia via penalty shootouts. You all should brace yourselves for a pulsating encounter! #Sports #Football #Euros

#RBAstats #EURO2024 #Spain, despite being the most consistently impressive team of this tournament, showed subpar performance in their game vs #Germany. The Germans were more aggressive (often too aggressive) and created significantly more chances. The Spaniards entered the final 3rd more often (58 vs 47) but got stuck there, rarely entering the opponent's box (20 vs 31). Unfortunately for Germany, luck plays no small part in football, and thus Spain goes through to the semifinals. #Portugal vs #France was a much more even and much less emotional game. The Portuguese dominated the left flank (38 vs 20 attacks) but rarely converted their attacks into shots (2 vs 3). The French preferred to attack through the centre (19 vs 10 attacks), taking a high number of shots (8 vs 1). The final score should have been more entertaining (Portugal's xG was 2.14 and France's was 1.13) but shot conversion was 0 for each team and thus the game was decided in the penalty shootout. Diogo Costa didn't manage a similar feat as in the previous game, and France prevailed, despite still having scored 0 goals which were not penalties. A shame that one of Soccer's great stars, Erling Haalaand might never play at the FIFA Men's World Cup except FIFA/EUFA changes something (rules) critically. I know we got more teams for 2026 but its not a given Norway will make it. With a new era of football stars birthed, that change is critical to the global marketability and appeal of the sport. If he misses 2026, he's going to be 29 when the next WC takes place in Morocco/Portugal and Spain, 2030. Every sport needs its stars at the BIGGEST stage. #SoccerBiz #SportMarketability #SportMarketing
