Why did we hire a videographer? Because beauty matters, and good stories matter. We have a crazy opportunity right now to produce amazing, compelling, stories with very little manpower for insanely cheap. And we live in an age where the world is increasingly devoid of beauty, truth, goodness and great stories. The world is starving for real beauty. The world is starving for truth. i’m currently working with a sports media publisher for Wittier, and the team & product is killer. but something was missing... and they couldn’t seem to figure out why. after working with them over the last few months, we realized that they didn’t know their readers very well. and it’s had a cascading effect on the business. if you’re a media brand, hyper-focus on finding out who your audience is. because everything else becomes easier, like: 1. editorial strategy 2. selling 3. products 4. engagement 5. brand affinity 6. hiring 7. growth it all starts from one place.
