As security we can deal with some pretty intense situations and if we lack training things can go badly. Without experience and guidance we may panic or lash out and someone could get hurt. Some of the people we deal with can act erratically posing a danger to us and the people we are hired to keep safe. Ongoing training should be the norm both in theory and practice so we can develop competency and confidence in our abilities. Just like I learned in the military; repetition, repetition, repetition.

⭐️ LETS TALK ABOUT IT ⭐️ In-person training for physical security is crucial for sustaining the security industry by providing hands-on experience, real-time feedback, and practical skills that are difficult to replicate online. It ensures that security professionals are adept at responding to dynamic and unpredictable situations, enhances their ability to use and maintain security equipment effectively, and fosters a strong understanding of physical security protocols. Security buyers, venue owners, security providers - fraudulent training puts your and your company at risk. It simply isn't going to stand up in an Inquiry or Court - if you haven't taken or can't prove you've taken the necessary steps to establish "Due Diligence." The crazy thing is - allowing rogue training providers to flood the labour pool with inadequately trained staff put's us all at risk. It's no use complaining about the Security Industry Authority if we as an industry aren't going to take our public safety role seriously. We all know what's going on and we can all play our part. For example do you know how many training providers are located in the towns and city's? Did you know that sometimes more than one Training Provider works out of the same address? Nothing wrong with that obviously, but perhaps worthy of verification. Afterall it's going to be you who's in the dock! Definitely worth asking how they found their training provider? Was it a WhatsApp message? Obviously things would be a lot easier and the public a lot safer if the Government implemented Business Licensing, and gave the SIA the powers they need to achieve their stated purpose. I remember when Business Licensing was first mooted and discussed a decade ago. If it had been implemented would the Manchester Arena and other attacks have occured or been so catastrophic on the nations psyche? At least, getting this sorted is defiinitely within the Governments gift . A gift which will have an enduring legacy long after they've gone. Active Shooter corporate training in Houston Has your company, or group, had an active shooter training class yet?
