🚂 The Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom's Passenger Railway is due to pass through the House of Commons today.   ❌ Though it aims to “to improve the quality, efficiency and affordability of passenger rail transport”, the bill has failed our #EvidenceTransparency test.   Responding to the findings, Tracey Brown said: "While this bill has been prepared at speed, there is no good reason for supporting documents to omit the sources and calculations behind figures"   We will continue rating major policy announcements until all departments consistently show their workings.     Click the link to read the report 👇

“It is disappointing that the first piece of legislation of the new Parliament has not met evidence transparency rules. While this bill has been prepared at speed, there is no good reason for supporting documents to omit the sources and calculations behind figures and the source for assertions made."
