Over the course of 8 weeks, the group engages in education and live discussion around systemic oppression, trauma, and their effects on our relationship with food/body. The group will discuss the intersection of body image, systemic bias, oppression, and other potentially challenging topics in a carefully facilitated, supportive space. While we aim for safety, complete trigger avoidance cannot be guaranteed. You may gain the most benefit from the space if you (a) are already engaging, comfortably, in these reflections individually; and/or (b) are comfortable in your outpatient care level. The industry has rethought the way we deliver mental health support. Those rethinking the journey to get there are shaping the landscape for the future. Prior to launching Cass, I was peering through the lens of a patient, attempting to navigate our overly complex healthcare system. My experience created a desire to help others walking the same path, so I became a Peer Support Counselor. Through efforts to assist my peers, I noticed that most face too many barriers with too few resources to make it through the therapy journey. With the help of our telehealth partners, Cass is working to close those gaps for our communities’ most vulnerable populations by: -Providing a simple way to complete forms and screenings. -Boosting the contact rate for new patient enrollment coordinators. -Streamlining scheduling and registration. -24/7 support to patients leading up to treatment. -Connecting patients to valuable support services.
