From the Navy to Nucor Steel Tuscaloosa, Beau just wrapped up his first year as a Process Engineer! Reflecting on his journey, Beau admits, “Transitioning from the Navy wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be, and it took a couple years to get to the right place. Making steel is pretty cool and the teammates that do the work are even more impressive."💪 Here’s what helped make his transition smoother⤵️ "Teams, purpose and a mission were things I loved most and miss about the military. Nucor is truly a place that holds those same values in high regard. My first job out of the Navy was a great transition and I had great peers, but I missed the technical environment and most of all I missed the culture. I was lucky to have served with some great teams in the military and I missed being part of a team with a culture of hard work and commitment. I learned on my first day in Tuscaloosa that there are no employees at Nucor. We have teammates. I love that and think it fully embodies who we are.
