Happy to share that our abstract presented at the 42nd Congress of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) is now published in European Journal of Surgical Oncology. We describe a novel technique for performing delayed SLNB using ICG, as the dye appears to be retained in the sentinel nodes for up to 3 weeks. This allows omission of axillary surgery at the time of breast cancer surgery, when the indication of such procedure is not clear and the risk lymphoedema outweighs the benefit of doing SLNB. https://lnkd.in/d29Tswgw

Arm Reverse Mapping with ICG - Axillary Surgery Guided by ICG (Indocyanine Green), enabling visualization, identification, and preservation of axillary lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels responsible for the lymphatic drainage of the upper limb. RFA of recurrent thyroid cancer (multifocal uptake on PET-CT). Oversee patient, received several times of surgery and RAI. After RFA for multifocal recurrent tumors, PET-CT scan shows no uptake. Serum Tg (0.08) and ATA (decreased from 2000 to 160). Thyroid protocol CT shows nearly disappeared enhancing tumors.
