SPACEBEL kicks off 2024 with a major comet interceptor contract First European deep Space mission to visit a pristine comet or interstellar body entering the inner Solar system, Comet Interceptor will offer new insights into the dynamic nature of comets as well as the origins of our solar system. SPACEBEL has recently signed an important agreement with OHB Italia S.p.A. (Milano), prime contractor of the Comet Interceptor mission, a programme of and funded by the European Space Agency. The said contract regards the provision of the Central Software that manages the whole spacecraft, its platform equipment and its payload instruments. HyImpulse Signs Launch Services MoU with Spacemanic: HyImpulse Technologies and Spacemanic CZ s.r.o. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on launch services. Under this MoU, HyImpulse and Spacemanic will prepare and enter into launch contracts for up to 10 orbital missions from 2026 to 2036. This collaboration also includes utilizing HyImpulse's Small Launcher 1 (SL1) for orbital services and the SR75 vehicle for suborbital technology demonstration missions. Cons: -Technical Complexity: The process requires advanced spacecraft with specialized toolkits and robotic arms, and sophisticated software for managing -Risk: The process involves risks associated with docking and fuel transfer.
