Worth thinking about if you're a publisher! If your current Ad solutions partner has direct campaigns (and that's if they have any direct campaigns at all 😉), what's to stop them from saving the best campaigns for their own domains? It's more of a win for them as they won't even have to share any of the revenues 💰

As a publisher, you need assurance that your ad space is being monetised effectively and fairly. If an ad network sells a direct campaign, what's stopping them from placing most of those ads on their own sites and keeping the bulk of the revenue? This "poacher turned gamekeeper" scenario isn't just theoretical; it's a real concern. When an ad network also owns websites, their focus might shift from delivering the best results for their publishers to maximising their own profits. As a publisher, it's crucial to ask: Is the monetisation firm I'm working with independent of any owned and operated websites? Independence ensures transparency and fairness, meaning your ads are monetised based on their performance, not just where they benefit the network most. 'Optimizing' ad performance sounds passive, especially when explaining it to clients or superiors. To convey a proactive approach: 📈 If the CPC (Cost Per Click) increased, experiment with ad copy and creatives to boost CTR. Consider switching to a more effective bidding strategy, for instance portfolio smart bidding. 📉 In case the CVR (Conversion Rate) experiences a decline, assess conversion destination (form, landing pages etc.) to ensure a seamless user experience. The above metrics will result in higher or lower CPA/CPO.

Just aced a lesson on ad budgets! Turns out, the better your ad does at converting clicks into sales (conversion rate), the less you might have to bid per click. This magic happens because your "quality score" goes up, which basically means your ad is super relevant to the people seeing it. Higher quality score = potentially lower bid = higher ad ranking!
