Predicting the solubility of an active principle (the molecule with a therapeutic effect on patients) in mixtures of organic solvents is of paramount importance for the design, operation and optimization of drug manufacturing processes. In our new paper (https://lnkd.in/dyv2eRsk) we propose a novel approach based on supervised machine-learning, which is similar to quantitative structure-property relationship models, but where different solvent types are identified by molecular descriptors as UNIFAC subgroups, to perform solubility prediction. 📡 #BioVersys delivers further great news in 2024: announcing that it has joined the EU-funded RespiriNTM programme, and its broad-spectrum NTM project now has access to up to €2 million in non-dilutive funding. 🌟 BioVersys’ NTM candidates are derived from the company’s proprietary Ansamycin Chemistry platform and are being developed to address difficult-to-treat Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) and Mycobacterium abscessus subspecies (MAB) infections. 🌟 BioVersys taps into key expertise of the established RespiriNTM consortium members and will lead development of its candidates through preclinical and clinical studies. 🙏 BioVersys is very grateful to the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI), for the 2nd time, in that following on from the success of #TRICTB, the IHI has decided through #RespiriNTM, to fund a second BioVersys project, this time development of its broad-spectrum NTM candidates. This Summer, the NativeMP™ Targets have changed the game by maintaining membrane proteins in their native environment—enabling high-quality assays, deep insights into 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻-𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, and application versatility at physiological conditions.
