Predicting the solubility of an active principle (the molecule with a therapeutic effect on patients) in mixtures of organic solvents is of paramount importance for the design, operation and optimization of drug manufacturing processes. In our new paper (https://lnkd.in/dyv2eRsk) we propose a novel approach based on supervised machine-learning, which is similar to quantitative structure-property relationship models, but where different solvent types are identified by molecular descriptors as UNIFAC subgroups, to perform solubility prediction.
