First Gas Achieved at Jerun Gas Field in Malaysia Key Highlights 1. Location • Geographical Position: The Jerun field is situated approximately 160 km northwest of Bintulu and 190 km northwest of Miri in Sarawak, Malaysia. 3. Infrastructure • Development Details: The project includes an integrated central processing platform. • Pipeline: Gas is exported through a new 80-km pipeline to the E11RB production hub for delivery to customers in Bintulu, including Malaysia LNG. 4. Production Capacity • Gas Production: The Jerun platform is designed to produce up to 550 million cubic feet of gas per day. • Condensate Production: It will also produce 15,000 barrels of condensate per day during peak production. 5. Investment and Strategic Importance • Investment Decision: Shell made a final investment decision on Jerun in 2021. • Strategic Projects: This investment builds on Shell’s existing interests in the region, including the Timi platform and the Rosmari-Marjoram project currently under construction. • Energy Security: Zoë Yujnovich, Shell’s Integrated Gas and Upstream Director, emphasized the significance of gas as a secure energy source for heating, cooling, and power generation. 6. This is serving the fossil industry as a social license to continue its life threatening existence. And that’s just one example of the widespread distraction and misleading narratives provided by the fossil fuel industry and its interests. The fossile industry has to be called out and their real faces shown to the public. For more than 50 years the fossil fuel industry has used strategies known from the tobacco and gun industry: Denial, doubt, deflection, distraction, and delay. Just so that they can keep profitting from destroying human and our co-species life conditions. Shell should be rated as the worst criminals. Oil and gas have to be kept in the ground from now on. No more BS about becoming "a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050"

We also have a bank that will provide the bank guarantee (BG) financing the project 100% so Shell doesn’t have to use his money. Australia’s energy giant Santos Ltd has recently signed a binding multi-year LNG supply and purchase agreement (SPA) with Japanese utility Hokkaido Gas Co Ltd to provide up to 400,000 tonnes of LNG annually for ten years, starting in 2027. Singapore is set to have a second liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal operational by the end of the decade, according to a statement released on October 24, 2023. Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG), which built, owns, and operates Singapore's current LNG terminal, has been given approval to develop, own, and operate the second terminal. The second terminal will enable Singapore to meet its demand for natural gas entirely through liquefied natural gas, should that become necessary, and will enhance SLNG’s capacity to deliver more LNG-related services, further entrenching Singapore as a key trading and bunkering hub for LNG. SLNG's current terminal has sufficient capacity to support all of Singapore’s power generation needs, based on current demand, if needed. The current terminal has a throughput capacity of about 10 million tonnes per annum, and peak utilization this year was at 60%. However, demand for LNG is expected to grow, with Singapore likely needing more natural gas in the medium term as the economy continues to grow. Almost half of Singapore's total natural gas used for power generation flows through the terminal.
