A big round of applause to Fund My Mission scholarship recipient, Corey Scarpa! 🎉 Congratulations! The mission for Corey's life is to make a positive impact in the local community by empowering individuals through education, mindset, and growth opportunities. Corey envisions a long-term approach to his mission. Here's how he put it when he applied for the scholarship: "This mission is not a one-time occurrence, but rather something that accumulates and compounds over time. The dividends are seen in the form of a more vibrant, resilient, and harmonious community. By investing in individuals, we're investing in our community's future. That's why my mission is so important to me - it's not just about improving individual lives, but about enhancing our collective wellbeing." 💙 At his core, Corey recognizes the benefit of accountability: "Because I want someone to help hold me accountable for my goals and help me achieve the success I know I can have to live a life by design and not by default." Love to see how you're leaning into your life-changing mission, Corey! 👏 To learn more about the self-development programs we offer to young adults under 30, go here: https://bit.ly/3XKIxNr

A good educational system and good educators help children dream properly for themselves and for their society! Helping children dream of individual goals is not the goal of good education; on the contrary, they should dream for themselves from a social context, locally, nationally, and globally! Otherwise, the educational system is a waste! Furthermore, fostering a sense of social responsibility and global awareness in children is paramount for shaping them into conscientious and empathetic citizens of the world. Encouraging them to dream beyond personal aspirations and to consider the impact of their choices on the broader community is crucial for promoting a more inclusive and sustainable society. A truly effective educational system not only nurtures the individual ambitions of students but also instills in them a deep understanding of their role in shaping the collective future of humanity.
The school system is broken. We all know it, but very few people are doing anything about it. I went to an event last week where 27,000 kids had pitched their dream and 700 had made it to the finals. And it made me hopeful for the future... That not only the education system can be fixed by those outside it... But also by us realising that our kids can do anything and helping them achieve anything. If you have a kid who has a dream... How about bringing them to the doorbell, and letting them pitch their dream? And I'll give 500 pounds to the best idea + upload it to 7 million people to try and help your kid's dream come alive. Big shout out to The Inspirational Learning Group for hosting this event! It was great to work alongside Ben Hanlin and Dominic McGregor and support the youth in following their dreams! 🦾

"I want to remind you of an undeniable truth: You cannot pour from an empty cup. In the fight for equity, justice, and transformative education, it’s easy to become so consumed by the needs of our students, the demands of our classrooms, and the urgency of change that we neglect the most important person in this equation — ourselves. Too often, as educators, we take on the weight of the world. We strive to be everything to everyone – the teacher, the counselor, the advocate, and the warrior against systems of oppression. We give and give, often without pause, until we are running on fumes. But let me tell you this: Your well-being is not a secondary concern. It is not an afterthought. It is central to your ability to do this work effectively." That's the opening of my keynote address today for the kickoff of our Workshop Week. Transparently, it's advice I have to work hard to take myself. I'm working on it, and working in community with people who look like me, feels like the best support system I've had outside of my family. I completely feel seen, heard, and valued. You deserve the same. Join us tonight! We are kicking off at 6 pm. Registration is required. www.profoundladies.org
