It was great to from Michele Bauer and Shaun Ferris this morning about partnership with industry and a strategic approach to enabling transition to the new economy - in energy, resources and beyond. Thanks IAQ (Infrastructure Association of Queensland Inc) for organising another insightful and thought provoking breakfast session. Some takeaways for me were: 1. We can and must learn from the past - for example, how to better coordinate development, investment and engagement (thinking about both the pros and cons from the CSG and LNG experiences) 🤝 2. Community is everything, including in terms of infrastructure provision - from a government perspective, but also a smart financier, investor and project owner perspective 🏥🏘️🛤️ 3. Moving from investment and transaction facilitation to true long term public-private partnership provides more opportunity for win-win outcomes for everyone - and having frameworks and a strategy in place to enable this is critical 📑 I’m super excited for the coming years in the Sunshine State. #futurefocussed #infrastructure #investment #economictransition #economicopportunity
