❕ REMINDER ❕ Starting in July 2024, the EU will enforce a new directive from the Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD) that mandates all single-use plastic beverage containers up to three liters to include tethered caps. This policy aims to drastically reduce plastic waste, particularly in marine environments, by ensuring that caps stay attached to their container. 🐢 🏝 The industry response to this regulation was initially mixed, but it has since catalyzed significant innovation in packaging design 💡 Companies are now rethinking cap designs to meet sustainability goals while maintaining consumer convenience and manufacturing efficiency.
