Thanks to Youth Driven Solutions To Accountable Governance(YSAG) Kenya for the great opportunity. The session was very interesting and insightful. Am happy to have participated. Devolution according to Article 174 of CoK, refers to the transfer of power, resources, and responsibilities from the central government to county governments. This shift aims to promote local governance, enhance service delivery, and foster socio-economic development at the grassroots level. Have the youths really benefited from the devolved governments, what about the nation at large. Is devolution the way? Some of the questions we discussed. #UsawaMashinani#YouthAssembly

Peace is Possible In 1994, after 100 days of simmering conflict fueled by political and ethnic divisions, Rwanda suffered an unimaginable loss. Over 800,000 lives were extinguished, millions displaced, and countless others scarred by violence. Yet, from the ashes of this dark past, Rwanda has risen. Today, it stands united, a testament to the human spirit's ability to overcome adversity and build peace. Conflicts like Rwanda's, born from historical grievances and ethnic tensions, exist all over the world. We are bombarded daily with news of violence, war, and crime. It's easy to become overwhelmed and lose sight of the countless organizations working tirelessly to address these issues. Governments, NGOs, civil society groups, grassroots movements, media outlets, and even socio-cultural and religious organizations – all play a crucial role in providing tangible solutions to violent conflict within our communities. For Rwanda, and for every nation that has walked through the valley of violence and emerged on the other side, their stories serve as a powerful reminder: violent conflicts are not eternal. Peace is possible. Let's give peace a chance! #forgottenconflicts #sdg16 #peacebuilding #peace #paix Youth Institute for Peace and Local Governance - YIPLG
