What made Jurgen Klopp such a successful manager of both a premier organization as well as being able to handle personnel who were superstars? Here are just 5 of his characteristics that made him stand out as a Goliath amongst his peers, in the modern game: Attention to detail: At his first game, at Spurs, he saw how the Spurs players looked in their imposing and fitted training kits whilst the Liverpool players had poorly fitted tops. He made sure to ensure that this would be the last time this occurred during his reign – accepting being second best even before a ball was kicked, was certainly not in his plans. Overperforming with limited resources: Klopp and his recruitment & coaching team, did not move to spend large sums on the best there was out there. Data analytics was used to identify a target with the right attitude, for value that was far less what many of his players’ eventual transfer market value turned out to be. Thinking outside the box without major organizational changes: His current vice captain, Trent Alexander Arnold, one of the world’s best passers, was masquerading as a traditional right back. Amid calls to put TAA permanently into midfield with citations of his defending itself not being up to par, Klopp did both. In possession, TAA moves into midfield to form a 3-box-3 formation while dropping back into his customary role in defense, into the 4-3-3 that is Klopp’s default. While it did require a couple of defenders to adapt, he chose to find the best fit for the players whilst maintaining his footballing ethos. He did not think that the peg was round, nor that the hole was square. Belief in the academy: Liverpool always had a good conveyor belt of youth talent, but Klopp had no qualms about throwing in his teenagers into the heat of the battle, but still asking them to play, “the Liverpool way”. If you were good enough, you were old enough – go out there to get job done. As a young employee, knowing that your boss has got your back and will shoulder your errors, allowed you to focus on the task at hand. Unbridled Passion: An often-overused word but Klopp went far beyond that, probably becoming the best loved German in England, invigorating the fans, pressing the right buttons in asking them to believe and dream. He believed in the project he was taking on, in 2015, and not only did he deliver, he restored the club's past glory and the incoming successor, will have a fantastic base to work on to perhaps create their own legacy. If Klopp is only judged on his trophy count, it would be great but perhaps not legendary. He didn't need to do so, as remodeling the club into the modern image of how it should be, far transgressed acquiring silverware. There are other suitable social media platforms to give a better, nostalgic send off to the man. But as a management elite, he has very few peers in the modern world. At this risk of this becoming more of a tribute post, will keep this short. As a fan, Danke ist nicht genug.
Danke Jürgen ❤️

Wiesn Shuttle 2024 - If We Can Make It Here, We Can Make It Anywhere! 🎡🚙 One and a half years ago, we finally got our hands on EDGAR, the new research vehicle of the Technische Universität München. We started at the very beginning, and over the past months, our incredibly talented team of Research Associates spent countless hours assembling all the necessary ingredients for success: 📷 Synchronizing and calibrating our complex sensor setup 🌆 Establishing a real-time 3D simulation environment 💾 Setting up a data center to handle the massive amounts of data collected during our test runs 💻 Implementing a modular software stack based on Autoware Foundation With these foundations in place, we could finally shift our focus to the development of AV algorithms. We worked tirelessly on our track next to the Oktoberfest, overcoming various challenges, e.g. 🗺 In-house generation of HD maps 🚋 Perception of uncommon objects (rickshaws, trams, etc.) 🚶♂️ Motion-Prediction of large groups of pedestrians 🕹 Integration of our teleoperation software to handle corner cases that our AV software isn’t quite ready for (yet) Last week, everything finally came together (https://lnkd.in/dn_F9hUW). We had the opportunity to showcase all our progress to Markus Blume, Dieter Reiter, Clemens Baumgärtner, Sabine Effner, Thomas F. Hofmann, the media, and the public - and we couldn’t be more proud of EDGAR’s ability to navigate safely through such a complex environment! A huge shoutout to the team for their dedication and perseverance - it’s an amazing feeling to see all the hard work paying off! The world is too big to explore the knowledge in all of the fields starting with human anatomy, marine life, space science, computer science and more. Take a minute, think about any new knowledge we learn in our daily life. if yes you are awesome! Take a minute did you do anything to improve your fitness. if yes. you are doing a great job. Every coin has two sides. My heart hurts when most of the people just run their life for the salary and materialistic. My big Hope is to share ideas to people who gain interest in exploring new knowledge, improving their life in 5 aspects , spirituality, fitness, career, and wealth and family. Those who are mastering and stabilising this, they become someone who is reaching GREATNESS!! I have hope and wish to do all this but I don't know to show the great Path. But Mr Chella Pandian Pitchai show me the way for achieve there. Sharing his inspiring ideas about NBV- Next Best Version is the best thing I could do to change the world, to change the perspective they see about the Society. Thank you so much for discuss with me about NBV. It really inspiring. I'm sure I can't share the same way as you deliver, but I'm happy at least 10 % of what you think and say to me to my generations via YouTube video.. As I've journeyed through the tech world, one vital lesson has stayed with me: the importance of giving back. It's a phase in our careers that truly shapes who we are and what we can contribute to the future, to the world. Flashback to my final college years - a time filled with uncertainty and daunting prospects about the future. As a young, aspiring professional, the path wasn't clear, especially as a black individual in the tech industry. It was a world where role models who looked like me were scarce. Then came a pivotal moment - a brief, but life-changing conversation with Alfred Chuang. Though it might have been just 10 minutes, it planted a seed of hope in a landscape of uncertainty. I'm excited to announce that I'll be revisiting these memories and more in a fireside chat with none other than Chris Brooks, my favorite professor from my alma mater, USF. We'll dive into my journey, explore the evolving landscape of technology, and share insights on leadership that I've gleaned over the years. #USF #TechLeadership #Inspiration #FiresideChat #GivingBack #DiversityInTech
I'm so very excited to get the opportunity to sit down with Papanii Okai, USF CS alum and CTO/VP of Engineering for Venmo, for a Fireside Chat this Thursday, February 8th from 4:30-5:30pm in McLaren 252! USF community members are invited to join us to hear about Papanii's journey through the tech world and his insights about where we are and what's coming next! You can RSVP here: https://bit.ly/USFCS
