Before you start trusting the advice you're getting here I suggest you check the person's background who is giving it because experience in Hollywood is everything. Here's mine:

I enjoy each of my roles because it requires being present. Being present as a reporter fosters storytelling. It means one is fluid and open to where the story takes you. It means having situational awareness. One variable change can alter the way one tells a story. Other times, having conversations with the interviewee takes the story in a completely different direction. Being present as a producer is a portion of the way a show comes alive. I may have a show stacked a certain way but if my guest/co-anchor and I are having a moment I want it to breathe. Being present as an anchor is essential. Once that on-air sign is lit it is go-time. And all one should do is interact & address in real-time segments, conversations & anything the control room displays in videos or graphics. Being present is part of the magic. EMBRACING THE GHOSTWRITER WITHIN: MY TOP GUN REVELATION   We’ve all lived through that embarrassing moment when we realize that we misheard a movie quote, song lyric or saying (for all intensive purposes is an all-time favorite).   For me, it’s the scene in the original ‘Top Gun’ movie where Tom Cruise’s character, Maverick radios the tower, “This is Ghost Rider requesting a fly-by.” Up until recently, I thought he was saying “Ghostwriter” – an honest mistake, but also fortunate because now I’m turning my lack of understanding into content.   You could say that this mix-up mirrors my own professional journey: According to the dozens of gurus I follow on LinkedIn, I've been a ghostwriter all along, disguised as a marketing and brand consultant. Had a very successful Producer tell me once: "Your process and attitude towards 'selling' will attract people who are best suited for that style." That's why it's so important to just be yourself. We see Producers make this mistake all the time... Trying to "sell" in a way that isn't congruent with their personailty. If you're easy going and laid back, sell easy going and laid back... If you're super analytical and technical, sell analytical and technical... If you're super aggressive and straightforward, sell super aggressive and straightforward. You don't want to attract people who aren't a good fit for you. So just be yourself.
