Santo 214. “Elevate Your Impact with Community Partnerships!” If you were to rate yourself on creating community partnerships, what score would you give? I'll admit, I found myself on the lower end of the scale initially. But then, I delved into the research. What I discovered was eye-opening. Strong community partnerships don't just benefit our schools; they transform them. Here's how I turned my game plan around. You can too! •Examine Existing Partnerships: Take a closer look at the partnerships you currently have. Do they align with your school's mission and goals? •Engage Local Organizations: Get local organizations involved in the educational process. Their expertise and resources can make a world of difference. •Seek Mutually Beneficial Collaborations: Look for partnerships that benefit both your school and the community. When everyone wins, the impact is exponential. And here's why it matters: •Stronger Social and Emotional Skills: Collaboration provides holistic support for students, nurturing their growth beyond academics. •Enhanced Student Engagement: Diverse opportunities captivate students' interests, making learning more meaningful and engaging. •Improved Academic Outcomes: Additional resources and support lead to better grades and increased rates of promotion. •Deeper Connections: Strong partnerships strengthen ties with families and the wider community, creating a more inclusive and supportive educational environment. As M. Yunus beautifully put it, "Partnerships are about building bridges between individuals and organizations." Share a bridge building partnership that was mutually beneficial for both your school and the wider community. #education #inspiration #leadership #teacherlife #sel

Connecting Business with local charities, social enterprises and the community to Innovate for Good 🌱 Force4good | Entrepreneur | With Purpose Network | ESG | Social Impact | Employee Engagement & Volunteering 🌎
Today's visit was to a place really close to my heart ❤️ I've always loved mentoring and supporting young people to thrive, and my meeting today with Mark Kirby at the Olive Academy to talk collaboration was really inspiring 🌟 This amazing organisation is working with some of the most disadvantaged and at-risk young people in our Cambridgeshire community. Mainstream school didn't fit the 50 young people here, and therefore they are in an alternative education provision from years 9-11. They can face trauma and barriers to attainment but possess huge potential 🌱 I have worked and supported young people who have attended this place for over 25 years and when the opportunity arose to collaborate I grabbed it with both hands 🤝 If you want to invest in the future of young people to change generational cycles, support them and their families to thrive, and create pathways for them to be more economically active and reach their potential, drop me a message 📩 Mark is keen to build partnerships with local businesses who want to share their time, skills, finances and resources to do good and that align with their values 🌎🌱❤️ and of course this is what I help organisations with and how to build a strategy around this - we are exploring ideas 💡 This provision is on the cutting edge of improving lives of young people that dabble with crime and prison unless steps are taken to intervene 🤝 Want to link in❓ Let’s start a conversation; Drop me a DM! #businessasaforceforgood #YouthEmpowerment #socialimpact

A bittersweet day... Today marks the end of an incredible chapter for me. After nearly 13 years as a Chair and Governor for some fantastic local schools, I’ve officially handed over the role. Being a Chair of Governors has been one of the most rewarding volunteer roles I’ve had, and has given me a great insight into the challenges of education in the UK. What I’ve learned: 🎓Education: Teaching is such an incredible career – but it certainly comes with its challenges and hard work! 🎯Community: I've seen firsthand how amazing people come together to make great things happen. 🧑🤝🧑Teamwork: Working closely with other volunteers and teaching staff to give children the best outcomes and prepare them for the next stage of life has been incredibly humbling. 📝 Governance: Navigating the complexities of providing good governance in a highly structured framework does not come overnight! 👧🏻 About myself: I absolutely LOVED being a tiny part of the educational journey for so many children and families at our schools. It has provided me with focus on my next volunteer role which I will be seeking in education. But, as they say, all good things must come to an end. It’s time for some new hands to steer the ship! We’ve successfully navigated Ofsted inspections in the last few months at both schools I chaired, and the governing body is stronger than ever. 🚀 Now, I need your help! We’re looking for new people to join the Governing Body. No previous skills required – full training and induction provided. It does take some commitment, but like anything, you get out what you put in. Maybe you have someone in your team who could use this as their community contribution or as a development opportunity...🤔 If you’re local to #StAlbans and would like to: - Learn more about being a governor, or - Even better, think you might be interested in joining.... 🙏🏻Please drop me a note! I'd love to chat and tell you more. 💬 #goverance #education #leadership #volunteering #community

Empowering communities to collaboratively shape the future of Jewish education | Founder and Consultant, Gold Learning Solutions | Faculty, MTEI | Instructor, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion |
Is it possible for two organizations providing supplementary Jewish education to grow together – without tensions over funding, teacher recruitment, community loyalty, or worse? I certainly believe so. But, let’s take a look at where things stand: Supplementary Jewish education tends to operate in silos, without shared metrics for success. While this allows for beautiful diversity and innovation, it also means that it is almost impossible to measure whether the field as a whole is thriving! Fortunately, I see an opportunity here. I think it is possible for individual supplementary schools to come together and collaboratively benefit from each other’s strengths. In fact, local Jewish Federations have already begun this work, connecting schools working within the same community to grow their ability to function as a regional system. Below are just a few of the ideas that have emerged in my recent work with supplementary education organizations: * Visit each other’s schools and offices * Determine where programming overlaps * Set shared and differentiated goals * Learn and grow from successful public school models * Pool resources for professional development trainings * Establish guidelines for future partnerships If this is something you or your organization might be interested in exploring, I invite you to drop a comment below, or to send me an email. The potential is untapped, limitless, and exciting. #supplementaryjewisheducation #partnerships #educationconsultant
