A bit more than forty days ago: https://lnkd.in/eu7gfU6A  Since which time has passed  - the signing of the Treaty of Nice by the UK government, which remained in force until Britain’s withdrawal from the EU in 2020;  - the invasion of Afghanistan, under the fraudulent claim that Al-Qaeda was behind the September 11 attacks,  - the invasion of Iraq, under the fraudulent claim that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction,  - missile strikes against Syria, - the Covid lockdowns and associated unlawful restrictions, - state sponsored censorship and brainwashing using MINDSPACE and the Behavioural Insights Team,  - wrongful arrest and violence against peaceful protests as well as probable deployment of agents provocateurs to instigate violence in peaceful protests, - non-consensual use of ‘end of life’ protocols, including widespread misuse of Midazolam and Morphine,  - coerced injection of bioweapons, under the fraudulent pretext of a ‘vaccination’ programme,  - misappropriation of public funds under the fraudulent pretexts preventing Covid-19 and climate change, - state sponsored sexual abuse and mutilation of young children under the guise of Transgenderism,  - arming of the Ukrainian government as well as probable participation in the 2014 Euromaidan coup and 2022 sabotage of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline,  - state sponsored mass immigration of military-age personnel and  - widespread and continuous flying of another country's flag (the Ukraine) over British government buildings.

Petition Reason Reasons for the Petition: The ongoing violence and oppression against Palestinians by the Israeli government violate fundamental human rights principles. The disproportionate use of force, illegal settlements, and blockade of Gaza have resulted in immense suffering and loss of life. Our nation should not support regimes engaged in such violations. So it was today that Australia was born (as opposed to January 26th which marks the establishment of a British colony on these lands). This post is not about trees. It's about war. But it's a statement that must be made to avoid hypocrisy. I have a petition to the Australian House of Representatives that has been approved by the Petitions Committee and is now open for signatures. The request: "I publicly condemn the killing of children in Gaza by Israel and call on the House to do the same.” https://lnkd.in/gdS8N3ZR And here, for consistency, is that statement of condemnation. Just wars require just cause and just conduct. Israel's cause may be just, but its conduct is not. As political theorist Michael Walzer argues in his book Just and Unjust Wars: “…even enemy civilians, over whom sovereignty is not claimed, are the responsibility of attacking armies, whenever those armies adopt strategies that put civilians at risk.” [1] Israel should limit civilian casualties where it can. But it is clear from the civilian death toll in Gaza that they are not. [2] The unnecessary killing of civilians, particularly children, must be condemned.
