Serra Ventures has been actively investing in agricultural and food technology since 2011, with a history of successful exits to industry giants like John Deere, Nutrien, and Bayer. This week, we analyzed 73 players in the US AgTech market and collected valuable insights into how AgTech companies enable farmers to monitor real-time conditions, make data-driven decisions and boost yield to address challenges such as labor shortages, rising food demand and the need for environmental sustainability in agriculture. PE-led interest has been significant, with >64% of identified assets being sponsor-backed.
