I'm amazed at how the zero-commission model is revolutionizing the ride-hailing sector. In my opinion, the zero-commission model being adopted by platforms like Rapido is a game changer for the ride-hailing space. Traditionally, aggregators charged up to 30% commission, significantly reducing drivers' earnings. However, with Rapido’s zero-commission model, drivers keep 100% of their fares and only pay a small subscription fee. This is a huge step forward as it provides drivers with more financial stability and motivation to deliver better services. For customers, the benefits are just as clear. With drivers happier and staying on the platform longer, ride cancellations go down, and the overall customer experience improves. Fares also tend to be more competitive, which is great for budget-conscious riders. However, this model comes with its challenges. Drivers still have to pay a daily subscription fee, which might become burdensome during days of low demand. Additionally, the long-term sustainability of the zero-commission approach is still unclear. Companies will need to find new ways to cover platform costs without commissions, which could lead to other fees or compromises down the road. The concept of taxis have been around since the 17th century and while the industry has experienced a recent resurgence, the #transportation landscape has changed significantly with the introduction of ride-sharing services and changing consumer demand. Felix Shneur, owner of Metro Cab, the largest taxi-cab fleet in greater #Boston, recently joined Nightside with Dan Rea on WBZ Newsradio 1030 to discuss the evolution of taxis and the future ahead. Shneur walks through some of the challenges the industry faced and how they were able to bounce back in the increasingly competitive space. According to Shneur, this comeback was largely due to the innovative solutions provided by Curb. Can’t stop, won’t stop! ⚡ For half a year now, our partnership with Glovo reminds us every single day how many amazing things you can accomplish when you collaborate with people that share the same principles as you and mirror your effort and dedication. The six months of our pilot project ended with amazing outcomes: faster deliveries, optimised routes, better delivery times and increased order frequencies. As the cherry on top, the delivery drivers made 390.000 km with our vehicles, which is equivalent to a reduction of approximately 88 tons of CO2 emissions. Just experienced an interesting scenario with my Rapido ride. Upon arrival, the driver informed me he needed to make a quick parcel delivery through Porter before starting the trip. It got me thinking about the seamless integration of various tech platforms in our daily lives. In today's world, drivers are leveraging multiple platforms like Ola, Uber, Rapido, Namma Yatri and Porter to optimize their time and earnings.How about integrating it via a common platform. This kind of integration will not only benefits them but also enhances efficiency for users like us. However, as with any innovation, there are both pros and cons to consider. On one hand, this multi-tasking approach offers convenience and flexibility.
