My Biz Arch mind was buzzing from this discussion, especially with AI! Our industry has had AI top of mind and conversations for awhile now, so to hear Scott's statement that, "data is memory" and discuss how Micron is tackling processing power for AI was very thought-provoking! Getting in front of this is key! I would like to introduce my network to an amazing man I have looked up to my whole life and is one of the main reasons I began in computer science "not many" years ago 😉 His journey with a growth mindset is simply admirable as well as how he is now helping Micron increase memory manufacturing in the US! Great job cuz! Give this episode a listen as there are so many tid-bits of info to take away from it! Their site selection process alone was awesome to hear! #businessarchitecture #AI
From an internship to leading transformative projects, Scott Gatzemeier, MBA shares his 27-year journey at Micron Technology! We discuss Micron’s $15 billion Boise expansion, future growth, and key milestones. Don’t miss this episode! Listen: https://lnkd.in/gxc-fDUi Watch: https://lnkd.in/g5aYDKYt

That's a wrap for this summer's Intern/E&P Connection Mixer events! We are prepping to bring back out Topic Series Events!! Here are a few key takeaways from this summer: - Bright Future: We met many bright young students ready to take on challenges, tackle fieldwork, solve problems, and wear many hats as they enter the workforce. - Company Presence: Companies should reevaluate their presence at schools. Focus on what's impactful, build relationships with schools and students, and provide more opportunities for industry exposure. - University Visits: Don't just settle for an hour-long company advertisement. Offer more substance and discussions that highlight the industry and various career paths. - Connecting with Interns: Our industry needs to improve efforts in connecting with the next generation and making them feel welcome. Even interns can feel isolated, and we need to address that. - Dinner Discussions: The dinners in Houston and OKC were the highlights. Extending our events to include dinner with interns allowed us to share invaluable stories, insights, and takeaways. We look forward to continuing to build the bridge between current professionals and the next generation! #futureofenergy #nextgeneration #petroleumengineers #oilgas #oilandgasindustry

Communications Coach | Soft Skills Trainer | Speaker | Entrepreneur | Leadership Development & Personal Growth Expert | Energy Industry Professional
Can you see the difference between the two pictures? Bottom pictures: Business owners and CEOs writing down their action items to reach their goals at our Exec Crüe retreat this week. Top picture: Summer interns at Intelligent Wellhead Systems setting their goals during our Emerging Energy Professionals Growth Workshop. Goals give us the ability to get out of our own way. It's not just having goals that matters; it's being ACCOUNTABLE for them and most importantly TAKING ACTION. This was the theme at our retreat and workshop discussions. Without action and ownership, you will continue to spin your wheels. If you're interested in offering this Growth Workshop to your new hires or summer interns, let me know. It was a great experience for everyone involved. If you are looking for a coach to help you level up to your true potential, lets chat. #goals #goalsetting #professionaldevelopment #personalgrowth

Director of Data Science with MBA, CISSP, CCSP & PMP | RSA & ISC2 Security Congress speaker | DEFCON Goon | Board member focus on building communities
I had the pleasure of moderating a terrific panel discussion at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering Alumni Career Night. Terry Neimeyer (pronounced knee-meyer) delivered a engaging keynote with 10 career insights: 1. Continue learning 2. Recognize not every work day wll be fun and challenging 3. Set goals and put in writing 4. Proper dress and showing up counts 5. Be on time 6. Be patient with career 7. Not all bosses are equal. Some will be good and some will be not so good. 8. Improve writing and speaking in public skills 9. Learn to work with weak and strong team members 10. Have fun....work to live don't live to work. As the panelists shared the peaks and valleys of their careers, a common theme emerged: adaptability, resilience, and audacity. Career trajectories are non-linear. When facing difficulties, they navigate challenges by seeking support and guidance from their teams, friends, family, coaches, or faculty. Matthew Lesho , Shijit Dasgupta and Kathleen Rand. The energy from the students and alumni during the networking session was through the roof. I left at 22:00, well past my bedtime! Students asked about taking the first step in their careers, and a few minutes might not be enough to cover everything. I recommend these three books, Learning to Fly by Mike Rosenberg Edge by Laura Huang and Small Actions by Eric Sim among others. These books can help you take your training wheels off. Feel free to experiment with their insights, share your career/life designs with me, and let me know your thoughts on OneHop! A shoutout to the organizers! It was a great turnout; we reached building capacity. It was good to see Kim Dolan Lee Gerstein Colette G. and their teams, Sonjala Williams M.S. and the Life Design Lab staff again. #johnshopkins #jhu #hopkinsconnect #onehop #leadershipjourney
