Latin Resources Limited Vice President of Operations - Americas, Tony Greenaway speaks on the update of the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) at the Company’s 100% owned Salinas #Lithium Project, announced yesterday. The Project now has a Global JORC MRE of 77.7MT @ 1.24% Li2O, with 95% of the Colina Deposit now in the Measured & Indicated categories (67.27Mt @ 1.27% Li2O). The significant improvement to JORC confidence with increased tonnage in M+I categories sets a very strong foundation for the upcoming Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), expected in the third quarter of this year. Aruma Resources Ltd (ASX:AAJ) managing director Glenn Grayson sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss high-grade #copper assays from the Fiery Creek Copper Project in the Mt Isa copper belt, northwest Queensland. Surface rock chip sampling by previous explorers, including Sumitomo and Anglo American, revealed significant copper grades with highlights such as 36% copper (Sumitomo), 25.4%, 15.2% and 11.2% copper (Anglo American). The Fiery Creek Project encompasses prospects like Fiery Creek, Twilight, Hellfire and Piper and is underexplored but in a geologically favourable area analogous to known copper deposit regions within the Mount Isa Inlier. The project has seen limited historical drilling with anomalous copper results and extensive hematite alteration indicative of a fertile copper system. Gold Fields really know the value. I purchased this as at least a ten bagger, it has a really great AISC. I will try and take some comfort in the short term return as there many other opportunities in this sector. Perhaps another signal that this sector will see M&A intensify.

Personally, I would prefer local, responsible development of the Duluth Complex before sourcing minerals from around the world and under the sea. Fascinating to learn about the exploration investment and scale of the known undersea resources. As we shift from a fossil fuel intensive energy landscape to a mineral intensive clean energy future - honest discussions around transparency in the supply chain and new mineral demand must continue.
