The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City serves as a beacon of hope for families with children undergoing medical treatment. That's why these Spire volunteers love using their #DayForGood at Ronald McDonald House. The team weeded and mulched the vegetable garden where healthy foods will be grown for families staying at the home. #SpireServes🧡

Well, that was fun..! I decided to test an upcoming activation concept for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana by running a mini version myself. I’m happy to reconfirm that peer-to-peer fundraising is alive and well! 🎉 And no… it does not need to be tied to an event or special occasion. In a little over 24 hours, I exceeded my goal - raising $1,500+ from 24 donors. Here's what worked: ✅ Great Tech: A seamless and straightforward platform and donation process thanks to my BFF Fundraise Up. ✅ Individual Donor Recognition: Every single contribution was celebrated - personally and publicly! ✅ Regular Updates: I kept the momentum going with live progress shares. ✅ Personalization & Storytelling: Every message came straight from me, with personal anecdotes wherever possible. ✅ Mission Tie-In: I made it clear why donations were so impactful at this specific moment in time. ✅ Multichannel Communication: I reached out to my community through texts, social media, and email. What did I miss? Anything you’d add to ensure the official launch of this campaign is a success? #peertopeer #p2pfundraising #fundraising #rmhc #keepingfamiliesclose
We made it! The first day of Spring 🌸 As the days get warmer, the need for support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana grows. Summer is our busiest time of year as many families use the break to travel for treatments and surgeries. Mike McDonald and I have an exciting summer ahead welcoming another McDonald boy to our fam! 💙 As you look forward to relaxing days and family vacations, please don't forget those families who will be spending their summer in hospital rooms. These next few weeks are a critical time to rally the resources needed to help RMHC-CNI be fully prepared to support these families. I've set up a personal fundraiser to pay it forward and ensure we are able to provide a home away from home for everyone who needs it. Help me reach my goal:
Create a summer of support for RMHC-CNI families

Children no longer actually need to be Digitally Literate in an "Hourglass Economy of Haves and Have-nots" at the dawn of the 4.0 Digital Revolution in the 21st Century. Regardless of "Accessibility Regulations" they have been dumbing-down jobs across the spectrum of industry, in fact, removing all traces of "Vocational Education Facilities" at Secondary Schools late in the last century. They the "Powers that Be" have been aware of children's vision loss ie "School Myopia" since mass education began dismissing it an "inherited vulnerability" in the 1960's !? World Suicide Prevention Day serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to make suicide awareness, prevention, and support an integral part of your workplace's mental health strategy. It’s deeply concerning that fewer employees feel their workplace has a strategy in place compared to last year. Now, more than ever, it’s essential to show that support is available. #WSPD24 #SuicidePrevention #WorkplaceWellbeing #MentalHealthSupport
Today is #WorldSuicidePreventionDay - A reminder that we can all play a part in saving lives. PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide (alongside many other charities) works to break the stigma around suicide and empower young people in schools and communities to spot the signs of emotional distress and take action. Take a look at their online support & information 📲 https://lnkd.in/ecV8ZyzK #SuicidePrevention #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #HopeForYoungLives

Recent data from Feeding America’s Map the Meal Gap report shows that food insecurity has increased 30% across our service territory, meaning an additional 80,000 neighbors are newly food insecure. Within our 27-county service territory alone, nearly 350,000 neighbors, including 100,000 children face food insecurity. State-funded anti-hunger programs are critical investments that are required to enable the distribution of charitable food to millions of children, families, and seniors across Pennsylvania. Despite the level-funding of these core nutritional programs, CPFB will continue to advocate for our neighbors facing hunger. #nonprofit #foodbank #centralpafb

Make their voices heard. In the UK, there are about 800,000 identified young carers and 1.7 million children in England with long-term health conditions face a heightened risk of mental health challenges, academic struggles, and missed educational opportunities. This can result in long-term social isolation, wellbeing issues and lack of opportunities in adulthood that affects the whole of society. So why are young people's needs overlooked, especially when they are vulnerable? Why are local youth zones, essential to ensure safe spaces for children and young people who don't have that at home or school, massively underfunded? Why do local authorities and schools fail to provide sufficient support and especially mental health support to children and young people living with challenging health conditions or difficult situations at home? Because we want answers and actions taken, Renaissance Foundation supports #ChildrenAtTheTable campaign. Sign the petition below.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR OUR CHRISTMAS PRESENT FUNDRAISER. For 2024 we have made the pledge as a team to support two children's charities and hospices - The Acorns Children's Hospice and Zoe's Place Baby Hospice Coventry. Many of the team here have families and we are all well aware of the complications that can sometimes arise with children and the urgent medical attention they require, even more so when it's life changing or critical care is needed. To kickstart our pledge we are going to do something extra special this Christmas to bring some love and smiles to these children and families who cannot spend the festive period at home. Our efforts and focus over the next few weeks is to raise £3000 to buy presents for the two hospices to ensure a little joy is spread. We've already raised £825, but WE NEED YOUR HELP? We are asking all our suppliers and customers to get involved by donating money to this amazing cause and help us fulfil our pledge and care for these children and their families.... so please, please support us and give as much as you can. https://lnkd.in/e3uxFVHf...
