Hello followers 👋 Did you know, we are building a new sports facility?! You probably do, as Paul Weeks shouts it from the roof tops! Well, we are looking for some additional support from businesses of the local area. We want to provide a sustainable and accessible community facility for all our members. From the 18 month old tots, right up to the 99 year young members in our gentle exercise classes. To do this, we are looking to secure some further sponsorships from the corporate world. Naming rights to the new community gym, naming rights to the education classrooms, naming rights of the building; we can bespoke it for you and your business. Why sponsor a community sports facility? Simple really. Community Engagement: Sponsorship of our facility demonstrates your commitment to the local community. 💰Paid tickets: 87% attendance 🆓 Free tickets: 46% attendance That’s what we observed from one of our fixtures this week. And it’s a pattern that we see across sports. 💭Our conclusion: Short term: free tickets can be good at filling space and boosting attendance Long term: free tickets have shown to be really poor for encouraging fan loyalty ❓Big question to consider: How can clubs capitalise on those insights to drive attendance, engagement and revenue in the long term? 1️⃣ Offer £1 tickets instead. Even a small cost creates a mental contract with the fan who gets used to paying for the experience 2️⃣ Offer free tickets with a condition I.e. free child ticket with an Adult - send a voucher to schools for kids to take home to parents 3️⃣ Offer schools/community groups discounted tickets and allow them to sell internally and keep the margin Any other strategies that should be added to the list? Final two groups of the Fall 2023 semester all done!! One launched a sports tournament, Rosen College Sports Tournament, on Main Campus with live music, prizes, and competitions in 3v3 volleyball, for hole and spike ball. The other group, launched a concert called Rhythm of the Knight, featuring four super talented artists, a custom drink menu, prizes, and a goodbye gift for all attendees. So proud of all the groups this semester on their successful launches!! They learned about venue booking, talent booking & programming, marketing campaign, fundraising, PR, show flow, running an event, dealing with clients, and much more. Two concerts, a pet show, a sports tournament, a film premiere & wrap party, and a podcast launched this Fall. Fun, diverse forms of entertainment, and they’ve overcome all challenges. They’re ready for the real world!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I have a few more spots in this course for Soring 2024 (HFT4378 Portfolio Management). For us, March will always be synonymous with two things: Basketball, and the Conrad Suite at the Hilton Chicago, former site of the IEG Annual Conference.
