[OPEN INNOVATION IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY: WHAT THE STUDY REVEALS] 🌟 Changing internal culture is key to the success of Open Innovation. Our latest study with SIAL Paris reveals that 61% of companies with a dedicated Open Innovation structure report positive outcomes. Yet, as Virginia Traldi, Business Strategist at Kerry, insightfully shares, the greatest challenge lies in shifting internal mindsets. “When you align open innovation and external collaboration, the focus moves beyond just ROI,” Virginia explains. This perspective shows the true value of Open Innovation, driving growth and transformation that transcends traditional metrics. At SprintProject, we’re committed to helping organisations foster this cultural shift, creating an environment where open innovation can truly thrive. Hello from Copenhagen 🇩🇰, where this week I was attending the Innovation Roundtable® – one of the biggest gatherings for corporate innovators worldwide. At this even I had the opportunity to lead a session on applying the ecosystem framework for innovation and new business modeling together with Alexander Rösch (from PwC Deutschland). We showcased our thinking, tools, and frameworks, including ecosystem-to-human and domain-based approaches, to drive the innovation and business-building process forward. (To lean more about the tolls click here: https://lnkd.in/ewFKRf6q) Throughout the day, I engaged in numerous discussions with managers from various industries like logistics, retail, food, machine engineering, and automotive. Here are three key takeaways from these conversations: 1. Clarity on Future Vision 🌍 Especially in turbulent times, it’s essential to have a clear vision of the future – a well-defined North Star. Yet, many organizations struggle to paint this picture, making it challenging to spot opportunities and gain organizational buy-in and clarity. 2. Strategic Portfolio Definition 📊 Defining what’s core, what’s adjacent, and what’s beyond is critical. Organizations need a systematic approach to prioritize and identify future "sweet spots" for growth. A clear framework helps ensure that resources align with strategic goals. 3. The Power of Partnerships 🤝 With emerging technologies, industry convergence, and evolving customer needs, partnering has become essential. Finding the right partners who can complement your assets and contribute to sustainable business models – beyond just products – is key to long-term success. These are big questions, and our discussions have only scratched the surface. We’ll continue to tackle these challenges using our methodologies and frameworks, and I look forward to sharing more insights as we make progress. Thank you for reading and watching, and stay tuned for more updates! Last week I had the privilege of representing yet2 at the Innovation Roundtable Summit in Copenhagen, where thought leaders from around the world gathered to dive into the future of open innovation (OI). Here are my key takeaways: 🔑 OI as a Sustainability Catalyst: Companies are leveraging open innovation ecosystems to tackle complex sustainability challenges, pooling expertise across industries to develop scalable, responsible solutions. 🌍 Cross-Industry Partnerships: More than ever, organizations are looking beyond industry boundaries for fresh perspectives. Cross-sector collaboration is proving essential for breakthrough innovation. 📊 Impact Over Show: Companies are moving away from “innovation theater” and emphasizing measurable outcomes. Metrics-driven approaches are now essential to proving ROI in innovation investments. 🚀 Agile Cultures: The focus on agility is transforming OI processes. Companies are fast-tracking innovation cycles, testing rapidly, and iterating in real time to adapt to market needs. 👥 Infrastructure for Integration: To make OI sustainable, firms need dedicated structures and roles that bridge external partnerships with internal development. It’s clear that as OI matures, organizations are increasingly focused on how to implement lasting, impactful innovation. I’m excited to see yet2 helping clients bridge this gap, fostering connections that turn big ideas into practical solutions. #InnovationRoundtable2024 #OpenInnovation #CorporateInnovation #yet2

𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒔 𝒒𝒖𝒐. This is the hardest challenge of being an Innovation Manager, in my opinion. Innovating is all about stepping out of our comfort and twining around a scene of risks, bets and the unknown. But isn't it the cool part of it? Claiming it is easy would be a barefaced lie. Spreading the so-called "culture of innovation" is everything but a piece of cake. And this is not because of the people involved, but about our nature to cling to habits and routine. This is why I am so happy about the outcome of my first 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 in Creative Words! 🚀 During our global meeting back in March '24 I launch a challenge to foster innovation within the company. I set up a virtual space to gather ideas and drafted a 2-month road map to take the lead. Needless to say how great all ideas were and how much I personally appreciated the effort demonstrated by everyone in pushing beyond their comfort zone, questioning themselves and collaboratively improving proposals. Unfortunately not all ideas could win, so... kudos to Cristina Siragusa for winning the most-innovative award! What about now? Well, stay tuned to find out Creative Words' next in-house innovation 😉 #statusquo #innovationmanager #innovatingLSP #award #innovationchallenge #Q22024 #innovativeideas #creativewords #cooperation #innoformula
