I had the absolute pleasure of attending the AI/ML master class conducted by Bversity and hosted by Sudharsan Varatharajan , where he shared valuable insights on cutting-edge AI tools and techniques that are transforming biological research. *AI tools for downloading biological datasets We explored platforms such as Kaggle and Roboflow for accessing wide range of biological datasets . *ML image recognition model to detect abnormalities We were introduced to how to build a ML (Machine learning) image recognition model to detect abnormalities by utilising tools such as Teachable and Ultralytics . *AI as a research analyst for reading scientific research papers We discussed how to utilize the superpower of AI tools such as Humata AI to serve as research analysts, enhancing our ability to read and analyze scientific research papers efficiently. #AI #MachineLearning #DataScience #Biotech #ResearchInnovation #AItools #Bversity #ProfessionalDevelopment

𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 Our paper "An optimal control perspective on diffusion-based generative modeling" has been accepted for publication in Transactions on Machine Learning Research (TMLR), a highly regarded journal in the field of machine learning. This perspective allows to transfer methods from optimal control theory to generative models, e.g. to derive an evidence lower bound as a direct consequence of the well-known verification theorem from control theory. 🚀Exciting News! 🚀 I'm thrilled to announce that our latest work, titled "Advancing Supervised Learning with the Wave Loss Function: A Robust and Smooth Approach," has been published in one of the core journals of machine learning Pattern Recognition! [SCI Indexed, Impact Factor: 8]. This research delves into the development of a novel asymmetric loss function termed wave loss. It exhibits robustness against outliers and insensitivity to noise, boundedness, and a crucial smoothness property. Theoretically, we establish that the proposed wave loss function manifests the essential characteristic of being classification-calibrated. We believe this contribution marks a significant step forward in the field of machine learning, offering new possibilities for more reliable and effective models. Researchers can explore the fusion of the wave loss function with cutting-edge methodologies to tackle complex real-world problems.
