Another milestone charter secured - as the U.S Flag Jones act Atlantic Breeze started to mobilise to the U.S. NE coast for offshore wind! The back deck of Atlantic Wind is being pulled up in readiness for a major fit out by charterers …. Installation of a full WROV spread , comprehensive survey package , accommodation units to increase capacity for 30+! This is all in conjunction with the brand new high power HPU on deck powering the newly installed 40 ton A frame, 50 ton winch and 7.5T knuckleboom crane. This is the next ship from Atlantic Oceanic LLC to mobilise into offshore wind in the U.S. NE! A complex mobilisation but evidence that the repurposed GOM O&G Jones Act fleets can be utilised in offshore wind in the U.S, employing American crews and using American shipyards to prepare. Here’s to wishing the team on board a smooth mobilisation and transit to Virginia ! #USoffshorewind #ATLANTICOCEANIC

More Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) have been built and are on order for the US Offshore Wind (OSW) industry. It remains to be seen how many the market will need, as there is still debate as to what types of vessels are most economical to serve OSW, whether CTVs or the much larger Service Operations Vessels (SOVs). #USMaritimeIndustry #USShipbuilding #MaritimeWorkforce #OffshoreWind #NewYork #NYSERDA #NYCEDC #Opportunity #Equity #EconomicDevelopment #WorkforceDevelopment #Equinor #CommunityOffshore #VinyardWind #Attentive_Energy #BMT #IncatCrowther #ChartwellMarine

#DYK? 29 Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) are being built right now to service offshore wind farms. Over two dozen of these vessels will transfer personnel and light equipment for American wind farms. These American-made CTVs, like the Atlantic Pioneer from Atlantic Wind Transfers, are being constructed in U.S. shipyards and will be crewed by American mariners. ESNA - Espeland and Skomedal Naval Architects and Strategic Marine unite to bring SES CTVs to Market. ✨🚢 Spain, March 22, 2024 - ESNA and Strategic Marine (“SM”) announced their strategic partnership aimed at developing Surface Effect Ship Crew Transfer Vessels (SES CTVs) for a multitude of applications. The vessel design combines enhanced speed, increased operational wave height capabilities, and reduced fuel oil consumption, promising unmatched efficiency and performance in maritime operations. With plans already underway to initiate construction of the inaugural offshore windfarm SES CTV in the fourth quarter of 2024, the collaboration marks a significant milestone in maritime innovation. The foundation of this partnership lies in the successful collaboration on three SES crew boats for the oil and gas sector, which are slated for completion later this year. This newly solidified agreement also sets the stage for deeper collaboration between ESNA and SM, aimed at driving the adoption of SES technology across diverse markets, including offshore wind, oil and gas, and security and defense applications. Benefiting from Strategic Marine’s extensive track record of delivering 36 CTVs for offshore wind since 2012, coupled with ESNA’s SES expertise spanning over four decades, the collaboration promises to revolutionize the maritime industry. https://lnkd.in/gJYVie_h #strategicmarine #builttowork #shipbuilding #oilandgas #maritimeindustry #offshore #offshorewind #offshorewindenergy #offshorewindindustry #offshorewindfarm #offshoreoilandgas #oilandgasindustry #vessel #vessels #marineindustry #marine #engineering #singapore #ferry #ferries #renewables #wind #crewboat #crewtransfervessel #crewtransfer #goinggreen #hybrid #energy #sustainable #sustainability #green #netzerofuture #decarbonisation #design #repair #maintenance #HighSpeedVessel #AIRCAT #SES #CTV #MaritimeInnovation #PartnershipGoals 🌊⚓🔧

These impressive 26m CTVs are fitted with CJR flow-aligned rudders for optimal efficiency. We've helped to achieve reduced fuel consumption and emissions – with class leading speed of over 30 knots, 25T of bollard push, guaranteed transfer height of over 2mHs, with low seasick levels due to reduced heave, pitch and roll, and impressive fuel burn performance. Scheduled for operations in European waters from July 2024 onwards, both vessels will be carrying out crew transfers in Europe, often in higher waves resulting in less down time, increased efficiency, increased power generation and increased profits. https://lnkd.in/ensHQ7gz #workboat #ctv #windfarm #windfarmengineer #offshoreengineer #strategicmarine #mainprizeoffshore

The growing demand for new subsea project vessels is pushing designers and operators to prioritise innovation more than ever before. New CSVs will utilise methanol and battery-powered dual-fuel propulsion systems to cut emissions and improve the efficiency of all offshore projects, whether at the construction or inspection and maintenance phases. More unmanned vessels, such as USVs and ROVs, are also needed to meet the demands of subsea projects. A growing number of these vessels are currently undergoing testing and development, and greater endurance and operating depth are still top of the priority list. Satisfying the demand for subsea project vessels will be an ongoing challenge, but innovation and new technologies could provide the solutions. https://lnkd.in/dq4AW-tb #CSV #methanol #batteryhybrid #USV #subsea #ROV

📢 Why risk it, just click it 🛥 We have developed this #video below and a set of posters 👉 (https://lnkd.in/eDi92cau) to encourage personnel aboard Crew Transfer Vessels (#CTVs) to wear the #seatbelts provided, while seated, and to help improve their #safety. It is just one of the areas that the G+ has looked at to make the transit to the wind farm as safe as it can be. The #media has been developed from CTV #healthandsafety recommendations in the recently published 3rd edition of the G+ Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation Good practice guideline: The safe management of small service vessels used in the offshore wind industry 👉 (https://lnkd.in/eQDNymPi). All G+ members will be enforcing the use of seatbelts, via the G+ CTV Seatbelt Policy 👉(https://lnkd.in/epc4Asx4), across all their sites around the globe. These materials can be used across the #offshorewind and #maritime industries to promote safe CTV practice. A big thank you to Siemens Gamesa for lending us their sail safe campaign.🙏 #weallownhealthandsafety
