In case you didn't notice... We've had a lot to talk about for #FathersDay. 🤟 Our 9 months fully paid parental leave. 🙌 How we allow you to work the hours you want (and don't ask questions). 😎 And why we provide unlimited holidays. For everyone not on LinkedIn, we also decided to tell the BBC. That's right, Shanker & Edward were live on BBC Radio Leeds this morning. Telling their stories about how the support we offer has impacted their families. Thanks for having us guys. It was an awesome experience. P.S. Here are a few pics of Shanker messing about.

Shared Parental Leave. Not to be confused with Unpaid Parental Leave. Truly. I'm not teasing, these are very different legal rights in the UK. Shared Parental Leave is the right for either parent to take paid time off following the birth of their child. It can be by mum, dad, or other person with parental responsibility. Unpaid parental leave is the right for either parent, or person with parental responsbility, to take up to 18 weeks unpaid leave (in blocks up to 4 weeks) up until the child is 18. This is per child. They are also great tools you can use to motivate, retain and attract highly talented people to your organisation when communicated and supported correctly. #hradvisory #hrforSME #HRasaforceforgood #spl #maternity

This week, the maximum weekly paid parental leave increased from $712.17 to $754.87. Eligible parents will also receive a 3% Government contribution to their KiwiSaver during paid parental leave if they continue their own contribution. With the rising costs of living, financially backing new parents is critical. It's our collective responsibility to give every child the best start in life. 💞 Does your organisation: 💥 offer a parental leave top-up? 💥 ensure people on parental leave are included in remuneration reviews? 💥 provide meaningful support to parents returning to work? Have any questions? Book a chat with our team here: https://lnkd.in/gUCzZU2a #parentalleave #newparents #workingparents #supportingparents #KiwiSaver #genderatwork #genderequality #genderequity

I recently did a survey for lawyer parents, to explore challenges we all face with parental leave, flexible work, and managing our full-time jobs with parenthood. The responses were honest, eye-opening, and the starting point for a bigger conversation on how we better support working families. I’ll be posting some of my favorite responses and stats from the survey, starting with this truth bomb. Because the survey made two things clear: (1) being a full-time professional and parent is not easy, and (2) we REALLY need to talk about this. #LawyerParent #WorkingParent

👨👩👧👦 Parental leave ≠ vacation! Minister Lisa Paus is changing the game. Now, for families to get the full 14 months of parental leave benefits, dads are required to take one month solo. It's not just about the numbers; it's about dads diving into the daily grind of parenting. This move isn't just about bonding; it's about fostering a deep understanding of the hard work moms do during those initial months alone.
