First Quarter Gender Diversity Index was just shared by 50/50 Women on Boards. Sadly, efforts to increase gender and other diversity on corporate boards continue to be stalled amidst legal challenges and the sharp divide in our country. You have an opportunity to improve the momentum by supporting 50/50WOB, engaging on boards as a woman or a diverse individual, attending conversations related to this issue and speaking up to the boards of your companies and the investment market. 50/50 Women on Boards San Diego, Teresa Jacques, Jen Rubin, Rylie Jennings #womenonboards, https://lnkd.in/eKTS7-2r

Diversity creates value. OnBoard’s Annual Study finds that the larger a Georgia company is, the greater its emphasis on gender representation in the boardroom. Equity at the top is about more than representing the population at large. Companies with women in executive leadership and board positions report better performance because introducing diverse viewpoints creates more openness to change, and their approach to strategy and innovation reflects this. To learn more about the impact and value of diversity to Georgia companies, review the Annual Study at https://lnkd.in/en4J4T7y #OnBoardInc #OnBoardImpact #DiversityAndInclusion #WomenInLeadership #NextOnBoard

50/50 Women on Boards’ new report with Equilar provides an urgent update on diversity in corporate governance: - Female representation on boards is at 29.7%, barely up from last year. - This quarter saw the lowest percentage of new female board members since 2017. - Boards with three or more women grew, signaling a shift towards more balanced boards. - Women of color make slow but steady gains, now holding nearly 8% of board seats. The trajectory suggests we won't see equal representation until 2045 unless significant changes are made. Let's reignite efforts to break down barriers and ensure diverse voices are heard at the highest levels. https://lnkd.in/gYGzjchB #BoardDiversity #CorporateGovernance #executivewomen
