Children's gastrointestinal tracts are evolving as they grow, making them susceptible to a variety of digestive disorders. These can range from common issues like constipation and acid reflux to more severe conditions like inflammatory bowel disease or celiac disease. Parents often find it challenging to differentiate between a minor upset stomach and a more severe GI disorder. This is where Dr. Kalpana Bharani Kumar steps in. With her expertise in pediatric gastroenterology, she can discern, diagnose, and determine the best course of treatment for a variety of digestive issues. Children, especially infants, might not always communicate or even understand their discomfort, but symptoms like persistent vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, bloating, or blood in stools should never be ignored. Nutrition and dietary habits play a significant role in the health of the digestive system. Introducing a diversified diet in the right phases, understanding food allergies, and ensuring balanced nutrition are key to preventing many gastrointestinal issues. In situations requiring more intensive care, Dr. Kalpana is well-equipped to offer treatments ranging from medication to more advanced therapeutic procedures, always ensuring the child's comfort and safety. It's paramount to have regular consultations and follow-ups to track progress and make any necessary adjustments. Remember, a healthy digestive system is foundational to overall health. Trust in experts like Dr. Kalpana Bharani Kumar to guide your child's gastrointestinal health journey. *Hashtags:* #GastrointestinalDisorders #ChildHealth #DrKalpanaBharaniKumar #PediatricGastroenterology #DigestiveHealth #ChildCare #FoodAllergies #PediatricNutrition #GIHealth #DigestiveDisorders #PediatricCare #HealthyGut #ChildDiet #GIDisordersInChildren #GastroCare Keywords : Best Paediatrician clinic near me, Best Paediatricianin chennai,Neonatologist,NewBorn Care,Antenatal Counselling,Child Treatment, best Paediatrician in India,Paediatric Emergencies,NewBorn Life Support,Newborn Jaundice,Child Vaccination,Chennai Paediatrician Recommendations

Healthy adults under age of 75 urged to take recommended daily allowance of vitamin D https://lnkd.in/dRDaSg6p Healthy adults under the age of 75 are unlikely to benefit from taking more than the daily intake of vitamin D recommended by the Institutes of Medicine (IOM) and do not require testing for vitamin D levels. For children, pregnant people, adults older than 75 years and adults with high-risk prediabetes, the guideline recommends vitamin D higher than the IOM recommended daily allowance.

GP & Menopause Specialist | Founder of Newson Health Group | Best Selling Author | On a mission to improve the future health of all women
By now I’m sure most of you will have seen the headlines about the new drug Veoza (also called fezolinetant), which has been approved for use privately in the UK to treat hot flushes in menopausal women. Yesterday, I went on @bbcradio4 to talk more about this and here is a short clip from that interview. While fezolinetant is being reported as a promising non-hormonal option for treating menopausal symptoms, it will only target vasomotor symptoms (studies show a 27% reduction in vasomotor symptoms) which are not the commonest symptoms of the perimenopause or menopause. More worryingly, there is a lack of evidence on long term (more than one year) efficacy and safety and this drug has not been tested on all ages of menopausal women. In addition, fezolinetant will not address the health risks associated with the menopause as it will not improve bone density, reduce inflammation and protect our brains and cardiovascular system from the effects of low hormones. It has also been shown to reduce testosterone and oestrogen levels in women. Fezolinetant is much more expensive than HRT – it costs around £400 a month.
