Congratulations to team Kirkman - Orlando 5 for winning my Regions store of the quarter! This team embodies our core values and consistently goes above and beyond for our guests. Kirkman has achieved many milestones. This site is full of leaders and has produced an M.I.T. to a Supervisor, a C.S.A. to a Supervisor, and an M.I.T. to a G.M. just a few months after their remodel. I want to give a special shoutout to Ziaire Williams, Lysette Guzman, Korey Wells, Jimmy Felix, and Damon Richard for their hard work and dedication to excellence. Since Lysette took over as G.M., Kirkman hasn't missed a beat! Great work, team Kirkman! Winning the belt two quarters in a row is an incredible achievement. Who will take the belt next quarter? It is great to see leadership in the field. Dealing with front-line team members should remind leadership of 3 critical keys to success. #1- Your internal customers, especially customer-facing team members, are as important, if not more so than, your external customers. #2 - Empathy is free! Treat others as you want to be treated! When I was starting my career, my mentor told me that you have 2 ears and 1 mouth...listen twice as much as you talk when working cross-functionally with others within the organization. #3- Be humble! Gain your success by helping others reach their goals! Remember, most employees do not leave because of pay but because of the way they are treated or by the culture of their workplace.
CEO Marvin Ellison, visiting the Lowe’s of North Miami Beach for some Q&A with the team: “I try to do this as often as I can. It’s just my way of saying thank you for what you do every day -- taking care of the customers, taking care of the business, and helping us make this a great company. I tell everybody: It always starts with the associates.” #LowesLife

Co-Founder of GameStop & Laura Mercier Cosmetics • Former President & CEO of Kinko's • Author • Podcast Co-Host • Entrepreneurial Mentor • Passionate about Learning & Teaching
In my career, I've learned that celebrating collective achievements isn't just a nice gesture—it's essential for fostering team spirit and gratitude. This lesson crystalized for me after the successful sale of Kinko’s to FedEx, which was a monumental team effort. To mark the occasion, I wanted to do something unique that would long remind everyone involved of our shared triumph. So, I treated all the Clayton Dubilier & Rice partners involved with Kinko’s and every Kinko’s team member who reported directly to me to custom-made boots from Leddy’s Western Store in Fort Worth. Each team member chose the skin for their boots and personalized every detail down to their measurements. It took about a year for the boots to be crafted and shipped, but they were worth the wait. Inside each boot, we had the FedEx logo on one and the Kinko’s logo on the other—a nod to the journey and the partnership that led to our success. You wouldn’t believe how quickly those CD&R partners got on a plane to Dallas to pick out their boots! In the world of business, “deal toys” symbolize the closure of significant transactions, but I wager few could rival the meaning and personal touch of those boots. To this day, my pair from that transaction remains my favorite (and being from Texas, I’ve got a lot of boots!). This experience reinforced a crucial leadership principle: share success tangibly and memorably. It turns a personal victory into a collective celebration, strengthening bonds and building a culture where every member feels valued and motivated to strive for the next win. The way you celebrate achievements can powerfully enhance your team's cohesion and drive toward future success. #Leadership #Mentorship #WorkplaceCulture #Success #CEO

"I experience a warm glow when I hear about Marks & Spencer doing well. It’s like hearing that my favourite auntie won a prize for something. It is so pluckily undefeated, permanently cheerful and optimistic, even when we are mean and call Per Una hideous and embarrassing. You want jeans? It’ll give you jeans. You like the underwear? Here, have six more knickers lines in technical fabrics that won’t show or shrink or crawl up your bum. You want calorie-counted, plant-based ready meals? They’re over there. Yesterday’s performance results from M&S showed that its can-do, no-offence-taken attitude has resulted in soaring success in most departments, with a record-breaking 38.2% market share in bras, and knickers sales up by 3%. Laugh if you want but this is a big deal" | ✍️ Esther Walker Here's why M&S is booming again ⬇️

Head of Social @JKMovingServices ⚡️ I offer tips on creating CURRENT digital content that works for your brand
When was the last time your employer thanked you for your hard work? Davy Shanko and I were asked to join JK Moving Services' & CapRelo's executive team meeting today. When we arrived Chuck Kuhn let us know that they simply wanted to thank us for the difference our work is making for the organization. Wow. Can we talk about how good that feels and how important it is? When employees are recognized it: ✨ Boosts morale. (I'm flying high this morning.) ✨ Creates an environment where employees feel valued and respected. (Is there anything more important?) ✨ Increases productivity! (I'm ready to create more amazing content!) ✨ Promotes employee loyalty. (Feeling appreciated makes you want to stay.) ✨ Encourages innovation. (When employees feel valued, they're more likely to share ideas and contribute creatively.) Beth McNamara thank you so much for your guidance over the past year and your trust in my abilities. Bonus: I'm still learning new things everyday thanks to you. And to all the employers who take the time to say "thank you" to their teams: your acknowledgment means the world to us! Barry Morris, David Cox, Andrea Bunch, Paul McCullough and thanks for taking the photo Jeff Parker #Leadership #EmployeeAppreciation #JKMoving

I joined Greenough Communications just over a year ago with the support of an amazingly talented leadership team of Christine Williamson, Jen Heady, Jessika Parry, and Kenneth Craig – and newly added, but I can’t imagine us without her – Nicole Murphy, and a vision. Together, we will make it a reality. I’m incredibly grateful - and honored - to follow in the footsteps of Phil Greenough. Over the last 25 years, he founded and led Greenough through several incredible inflection points across the #technology, #healthcare, and #energy industries and provided us with a proven playbook to tackle the ones yet to come. From Fortune 500 companies to the many startups, he was there penning new narratives and disrupting markets. His mark on the communications field and this agency is undeniable, and I look forward to continuing his legacy. What’s next is still unwritten, but what I do know is we will: ➡ Have fun defining the “new rules” for agencies to live by. As Eleanor Hawkins recently said, the “challenger firms” will be the ones that have senior leaders who walk side-by-side with their clients, deliver the strategy, and generate the results vs. relying on those who are just cutting their teeth in the field. That model is broken. We are an agency of experienced, creative practitioners who love what we do and still get a high while doing it. We are the challenger firm she speaks of, and we are rising. https://lnkd.in/eiUDJNbq ➡ Hone in on our “Zones of Genius.” Our Guest Lecture series, featuring industry experts sharing insights on their journey, innovative tools, and lessons from their experiences, remains a cornerstone. Additionally, our quarterly one-on-one trainings go beyond mere support; they're about uplifting each other to ensure our clients are receiving the best work and have our best minds working together to deliver that work. It's not just about being on the team; it's a mindset that consistently revolves around our clients, focusing on how we can continuously enhance and deliver exceptional results. ➡ Be present. This remote world can be distracting, and it can feel monotonous. But collectively, we will be keeping each other focused and present. Present as trends start bubbling up to the surface, at industry events and client summits, in the ever-changing world and all its teachings for us to be and operate at our best. Let’s do this, Greenough team!! And thank you, Jess Ruderman, for taking the time to meet with me and for this great piece in PRWeek! bit.ly/3StNsT4
After 25 years at the helm, our founder Phil Greenough is passing the leadership baton, naming Nikki Festa O'Brien as our new CEO! Since day 1 at Greenough, Nikki has pushed our team to deliver results, provided best-in-class service to our clients, and expanded Greenough's client roster. We could not be more excited to celebrate our 25th year anniversary with these new developments, grounded in our continued mission to create moments that matter. https://lnkd.in/eXQRahDn

Earlier this month I hit my 4 year anniversary with Mohawk Industries. The time has flown by and I have really enjoyed it so far. One thing that seems to stay true with recruiting from year to year is that it is a rollercoaster ride. The key is to have more ups than downs. Thanks to a great team and partners throughout the company, I think we have done that so far. On to the next 4. #MoreWithMohawk #enjoytheride #talentacquisition #recruiting
