The environmental sector needs to be fully plant based 💚 A plant-based food system would free up land urgently needed for nature restoration. Wise words from Chris Packham 👇 "If we want to restore nature, we have to change our food systems... I’m asking the environmental sector to lead this change by pledging to go 100% plant-based." The demand is simple: ✨ Make a 100% plant-based pledge by 1 January 2025, with a clear and published pathway of how to achieve this transition by January 2026 ✨ #WorldFoodDay #PlantBasedPledge (read more at link in comments)

🌍🌱 Happy World Environment Day 2024! 🌱🌍 Today, we celebrate the incredible importance of our environment and the actions we can take to protect it. This year’s theme is all about land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience under the powerful slogan: “Our Land. Our Future. We are #GenerationRestoration.” We as a company are also committed to land restoration with Ecosia . Because trees are our most effective weapon against climate change. By absorbing thousands of tons of CO2 every day, trees can help limit the rise in global temperature to below 1.5°C. 🌳 We invest 0.25% of sales in ECOSIA tree planting campaigns and invite every customer to participate by making a simple selection during the checkout process, including official certificates. This means that we have already planted 1780 trees. 🥦🍎 Plus, the "Loubier´s Biokiste" with freshly harvested fruit and crunchy vegetables is delivered to us every week directly from the fields of the Dithmarschen region in Schleswig-Holstein. The team can enjoy the best of local organic produce. Let’s take action together for a sustainable future. Happy World Environment Day! 🌍💚 #WorldEnvironmentDay #GenerationRestoration #ClimateAction #SustainableLiving #TreePlanting

From the vineyards of France to the shores of the Mediterranean, we have one planet, Earth. To secure a future we must reconsider our relationship, with the Earth. The pressing issue of climate change demands a shift in our sustainability approach and nature might offer the solutions we seek. Traditional methods, passed down over generations often provide practices, for agriculture, food production and resource conservation. At Relais & Châteaux we value preserving and honoring these customs as a way to build a sustainable future. Our establishments promote sourced ingredients to support food systems while highlighting the distinct flavors and heritage of their respective regions. This is not a challenge but rather a collective endeavor where success or failure is shared as a community. #climate #sustainability #tradition #RelaisChateaux #localflavors #foodsystems

Today, the United Nations decrees it International Day for Biological Diversity. 🌱 This year, the theme is ‘Be Part of the Plan’, which emphasises the role we all play in nurturing biodiversity - our core mission at Ecotone. It’s also a call to action to halt and reverse the loss of biodiversity as part of The Biodiversity Plan. This offers governments and organisations measures to support in protecting nature - because everyone has a role to play, and can be part of the plan! 🫱🏽🫲🏽 We recognize this urgent need for change. That's why we're committed to diversifying the ingredients and plant species in our recipes - ensuring a more resilient and sustainable food system for generations to come. Across our portfolio of natural products, we’re guided by a mission to protect and grow biodiversity in all that we do. As a mission-led business, it’s tied into our very own DNA and helps us work towards a stronger and sustainable food system. Together, we can make a difference! 🥕 Find out more about the vital work of the UN here: https://buff.ly/35r7ofG #FoodForBiodiversity #ForNature #UnitedNations
