Next up in our #WomensHistoryMonth spotlight series celebrating woman associates around the globe is Claire Donnellan, APAC regional manager and gardening/upcycling extraordinaire!
💖 A fun fact about me... 💖
"I discovered gardening a few years ago, designing and planting an Australian Natives-inspired garden at home, hundreds of plants in, way too much overthinking and still going – it feels like living art on an enormous canvas. When I’m not lost in gardening mode, I spend time refurbishing and upcycling old furniture, I play netball and soccer during winter, and I get away camping with the family when we have a spare weekend between everyone’s sport schedules!"
💖 Why inclusion is important to me... 💖
"If you feel empowered to be yourself, your best self can emerge. An inclusive culture breeds trust. Being able to trust yourself helps build an environment where creativity can flourish and be a driver for success."
💖 I feel empowered by inclusion in the workplace when... 💖
"I see my peers take steps to learn something new that will challenge their biases. For me, this demonstrates an open mind with room for growth and empathy."
💖 My 2024 Inspire Inclusion statement is... 💖
"Check your bias!
The idea that my biases hold me back personally is unsettling, and so I make a choice to take action here, to learn in order to grow. The idea that my biases can hold someone else back weighs heavily on my conscience, so I also make the choice to learn and continue to invest in inclusion to support a culture where everyone is able to feel empowered."
Thank you, Claire, for being a great example of how we can all help #InspireInclusion!
