🎥 The Importance of Awareness 🎥 Today, I almost missed out on the President’s Cup. Why? A security supervisor was unaware of the laws surrounding service dogs. Thankfully, a kind police officer stepped in and set things right. But this experience made me think – how many others face similar barriers due to a lack of awareness? It’s time for organizers and associations like the PGA to take a closer look at how they handle accessibility and inclusivity. We can do better. We must do better. Let’s open up the conversation – how can we improve accessibility at major events? Drop your thoughts below and let’s push for change together. 👇💬 #AccessibilityMatters #ServiceDogs #PresidentsCup #DrivingForeward #InclusionForAll #disabledveteran #ptsdawareness #veteranservicedog #MentalHealthAwareness PGA TOUR Presidents Cup Global Disability Inclusion, LLC Driving Foreward

Today, we conducted a training session on Government Regulations and Opportunities for Footballers and Community Clubs, and we were pleased to see excellent attendance and active participation from our institutional members and their players. The sessions covered player registrations, Protest and Appeal issues, Player transfers, Contracts, and other regulations. Overall, it was a productive session, providing our members with essential knowledge on some administrative processes of every football club and the differences in the roles played by Team officials and Club officials. Risk vs Reward What do you see in the picture below? Well it’s a matter of perspective. A non-golfer sees spring, a lovely pond, pine trees, tranquility. A high handicap amateur golfer sees a decision. “Do I lay up, get closer so I can carry the water easily, or do take out my 3-wood and risk getting wet?” A low handicapper is more interested in the pin position (that little red flag on the green), the bushnell comes out to aid club selection, they don’t see the water (what is perceived as high risk by high handicapper is low risk to them). In leadership the same scenario presented to three different employees of varying knowledge and experience presents them with different perspectives. The progressive organisation’s aim is to produce more “low handicappers”, who are more skilled to tackle high risk scenarios.

I'm typically known for my short-form reactive content (*cough* memes *cough*), but one creative element I've always enjoyed - and arguably enjoy the most - is video-editing, to the extent that I asked for video-editing software on my fourteenth birthday. Unfortunately, I didn't realise the software would cause my ancient computer to short circuit within three minutes of installation, but hey! You live and you learn. And your PC explodes. Today, Urdd Gobaith Cymru has re-opened its membership portal for the academic year, and this is the video I made to mark the launch of our new marketing campaign: Dyma'r Urdd. Enjoy! And if you're young enough - sign up! (No PCs were harmed in the making of this video.)
Mae blwyddyn newydd sbon o'r Urdd yn dechrau heddiw! Bob blwyddyn, mae miloedd o blant a phobl ifanc Cymru yn ymaelodi gyda'r Urdd i gael mynediad at ein holl weithgareddau a digwyddiadau, o chwaraeon a'r celfyddydau i gystadlu a chymdeithasu. Dyma hwyl. Dyma'r iaith. Dyma'r Urdd. 🏴 Ty'd yn aelod o'r Urdd heddiw: https://lnkd.in/ei-tGBnD - Urdd membership for 2024/25 is now OPEN! As part of National Reconciliation Week, the Winslow Group has launched its online Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Appreciation training. Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. As Australians, we can all be proud to be the home of one of the oldest continuous civilisations on Earth, extending back more than 65,000 years. Our Cultural Appreciation training course aims to increase employees’ awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their culture. Cultural awareness is a first step towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural competency, which refers to an ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. The focus of our training is to provide background and context, and then to move into appropriate behaviour from Winslow employees. Each person at Winslow is empowered to make good decisions to look after each other as family, be accountable to each other and be committed to operating safely. It’s the Winslow Way. #Winslow #TheWinslowWay #WinslowLearning #WinslowCommunity #NRW2024 #NationalReconciliationWeek2024
