April is Celebrate Diversity Month. It is a time to recognize, understand and amplify our differences while honoring our common humanity. Equity in the workplace is about giving every employee the necessary resources they need to have access to opportunities. And DEIA is just good business: ➡️ Companies employing an equal number of men and women manage to produce up to 41% higher revenue. (Clear Company) ➡️ 6.6% of all Fortune 500 companies have women as their CEOs. (Fortune) ➡️ Gender-diverse companies are 15% more likely to see higher financial returns. (McKinsey) In the workplace, it is important to recognize that all employees have different needs, backgrounds, and circumstances and address the imbalance of opportunities available to them. ----------------- In December 2019, Ann Mukherjee joined Pernod Ricard North America as Chairman & CEO. The first industry outsider and woman of color to assume the post, she has demonstrated from day one her ability to advance through ambiguity, while delivering both ROI and ROR (return on responsibility). She has cultivated a leadership style that is fresh, evolved, and modern. It’s one based on bringing your “whole self to work.” Diversity fosters creativity and innovation. 🌍 Embracing Diversity 🌈 Every year in May, European Diversity Month is celebrated to highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and in society. At Knorr-Bremse we believe in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. As we celebrate Diversity Month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a workplace that embraces people from all walks of life. Our holistic diversity strategy underscores our commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion at all levels. 👉 But to move forward, you also need to focus. We’re currently concentrating more strongly on specific dimensions of diversity: As many employees will retire in the next five to ten years, the dimensions of #AgeAndGeneration as well as #Internationality require our special attention in 2024. In an engineering-driven environment, we also continue to focus on #GenderDiversity, which has been our focus dimension since 2022. 🌈 In honor of Pride Month, we embrace acceptance, respect, and love regardless of gender, identity, religion, or origin. At Phoenix Contact, we provide a safe and inclusive environment for all.
