We had a great Family Science Night last week! Thank you to Dr. Shannon (Barbara Shannon), Mrs. Andino, and Mrs. Knight for all your work planning and to the SQA team for hosting the event on campus. There was a variety of hands-on activities, including the Aquarium of the Pacific’s touch tank, SQA engineering students leading a session on 3D printing, and rockets with Dr. T.! 🔬 🚀 🔭 ⚛
🔧HackEDU hosted at the Advanced Hackspace has begun this year for our MRes cohort!
⚙️The series of sessions teaches our students many valuable techniques including soldering, 3D printing and coding, and is a great way for them to develop skills outside of the lab!🪛
🛠️If you would like to learn new skills or have an idea you would like to make reality then contact the Advanced Hackspace at advancedhackspace@imperial.ac.uk!
You couldn’t choose a better time to start your endeavor in 3D Printing!
For the third or fourth time in Additive Manufacturing history, the industry is finally starting its engines! This time, everyone has heard of 3D printing, thanks to Open Source, the Maker Movement, and pioneering startups that helped ESA, NASA, and all big and small companies to try out the potential of this technology with very low-cost desktop 3D printers. And now! Get ready, set, go! Every engineer has an understanding and basic knowledge about the potential of 3D printing that can and will be used on every human activity. Building rockets, creating human tissues, compete with plastic injection molding, building houses on Earth and the Moon , etc
@Bruno Monteiro , design a good business case and go to market strategy to find your place in the business.

Polymer 3D printing for Medtech: from machine design to part testing
Hi network,
I'm thrilled to announce that I'm embarking on a new journey with the official launch of my new venture VulkanAdditiveSolutions.
Vulkan Additive Solutions is committed to helping engineering companies reduce development time and manufacturing costs when working with 3D printing.
I want to say thank you to all the people who have helped me so far in this launch.
More updates to come in the following weeks.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want to learn more about VulkanAdditiveSolutions.
Still some room left on Day 2 of the ACU Simulation Showcase. A fantastic line up of presenters on a broad range of simulation topic and modalities.

Seminar on CP1 fatigue properties and its comparison to AlSi10Mg
We have had the pleasure to host, on 13th Dec, a webinar on the fatigue properties of #additive Constellium CP1 alloyand its comparison to AlSi10Mg in terms of fatigue properties at R=-1 and R=0.1.
The webinar had 40+ attendees from different companies (Leonardo Space, Avio Aero, Scuderia Ferrari, Thales Alenia Space, AIDRO hydraulics & 3D printing ) and presentations were delivered by Ravi Shahani, Erembert Nizery for Constellium and by Stefano Beretta, luca patriarca and Lorenzo Rusnati for PoliMI.
Presentations (here Overview by Constellium) were followed by interesting questions and discussion about reasons for the increased fatigue properties of CP1 respect to AlSi10Mg. This is the topic of the cooperation between Constellium and MECCPolimi. Further results will be published shortly.

Additec Racing is a true testament to the fusion of speed and technology, where the power of Porsche racing cars meets the innovation of Additec's liquid metal printing
Introducing ARPICE, our AI-powered chess-playing robot!
Students from Professor Peter Drexel’s computer architecture class have spearheaded every step of its creation from 3D printing all of the chess pieces to assembling the 2-axis arm and coding the AI.
With Arduino managing motors, Raspberry Pi giving instructions, and a custom circuit board handling interfaces, every variable was thoughtfully tested and executed.
This isn't just another CS program—it's where theory transforms into real-world innovation.

From today onwards (dec 15 ) i will try to solve 5 dsa problems, it might be small or medium but i will try to maintain consistency .
Problems i did on dec 14 :
Palindrome
Fibonacci
Decimal to binary
Binary to decimal
Finding number of digits using 2 different methods
Reversing a number using
1s complement of a number ( using XOR and remainder technique )
Pattern printing
Thanks to rohit negi for his very good teaching finally i have some hope towards dsa.
