🚀 Earlier today, the last 5 #Kinéis nanosatellites were successfully orbited from New Zealand, by Rocket Lab. That makes five! Five batches including each 5 nanosatellites! Today's launch represents an incredible milestone for French and European space sector, as the 25 Kinéis nanosatellites are now all in orbit. Kinéis is the first European constellation of nanosatellites fully dedicated to the Internet of Things #IoT. Congratulations to all the actors who have contributed to this stunning program that will for sure make history ⤵️ 👏 👍 Kinéis Centre National d'Études Spatiales CLS Group (Collecte Localisation Satellites) Bpifrance HEMERIA Thales Alenia Space Comat Cegedim SYRLINKS Cobham STEEL Electronique EREMS Sodern Safran Exail Scalian Good to know ⤵️ The constellation is operated by Kinéis, a Toulouse-based company created in 2018 with the support of CLS (Collecte Localisation Satellites), the French Space Agency CNES and Bpifrance. At the heart of this constellation, Thales Alenia Space is system architect and responsible for building the payloads. Hardware development is subcontracted to Syrlinks. Hemeria is responsible for development of the platform (solar panels and harnesses manufactured in-house), integration and production engineering for the nanosatellites. CNES is providing the satellite command and control center and assisting with constellation operations as an integrated team until full handover to the Kinéis teams in 2025. CLS will deliver value-added services based on data from the constellation. A wide range of upcoming applications ⤵️ The resulting IoT applications include near real-time tracking and monitoring of millions of objects, rapid alerts and transmission of data to end-users in areas of major importance for humans, human activity and the environment, such as natural disaster prevention (detection of forest fires, floods, drought, pollution...), agriculture, traceability of wild and farmed animals, infrastructure and energy network monitoring and oversight of transport and logistics, as well as commercial and scientific maritime activities. The potential applications are vast, with benefits including risk reduction, anticipation of breakdowns and optimization of activities. Proud and happy to have taken part in this one-of-kind space program that will revolutionize the #IoT field Stay tuned for the service opening on June 1st 2025! #Kineislaunch #KineisConstellation #Satelliteconnectivity #internetofthings Thales Leonardo

Thales Alenia Space a republié ceci
Today we have celebrated with our teams in Madrid a truly remarkable achievement for Thales Alenia Space in Spain marked by the successful launch of #SpainSatNG1 satellite back on 29 January 2025. The SPAINSAT NG program led by the Spanish satellite operator Hisdesat Servicios Estratégicos is one of the most advanced satcom systems in Europe & in the world, and will provide secure communications services to the Spanish Armed Forces and other governmental users. This program has been a transformative experience for Thales Alenia Space in Spain and the Spanish space industry at large. Our teams in Madrid have led the development of the UHF and Ka-band payloads of the 2 geostationary satellites, including the integration and test of the Communications Module of both satellites at our satellite AIT facilities in Tres Cantos. Congratulations to the team for successfully achieving this great challenge!

Join us for an absolute trip into Space! Check-out this stunning video unveiled yesterday during the opening ceremony of the 2025th edition of #SatShow event, held in Washington DC. The film "Immersive Space Journey" was conceived as a veritable trip into space, taking us from Earth to Mars. It is also a great opportunity for our customers, partners and followers to discover our wide range of activities in all fields, from space exploration to Earth observation, including satellite navigation systems and telecommunications. For those who already know the initial version, the video was enriched with astonishing footages emphasizing our new capabilities to support the return of humankind’s around the Moon and on the lunar surface. You will also disover all our telecommunications and Earth observations product lines. This year, the video also focused on multi-orbit telecommunications constellations and on Earth observation high revisit solutions, combining the best of our radar and optical sensors to offer near-real surveillance. Welcome onboard a brand-new experience, an immersive journey on the Stairway to Space, step after step. Recently, the 1st ARGONAUT Industry Day took place at the Altec premises in #Turin. The event was attended by 166 representatives in person, with many others joining via online streaming from 145 European industries. European Space Agency - ESA presented the program scenario, while core team members from the prime contractor Thales Alenia Space (Italy, France, and the UK) and OHB SE outlined the key system features for 54 hardware and software topics. Fourteen dedicated discussion tables facilitated 215 face-to-face meetings and networking opportunities. Engaging introductory speeches captivated attendees from 22 of the 23 #ESA member states. In the next few months, the companies who participated will be invited to compete in the mission, and a new industry day will follow. #spaceforlife Thales / Leonardo / Altec SPA Walter Cugno / Giorgio Vincenzo / Federico Massobrio / Cesare Capararo / Ludovic Duvet / Stefania Ponturo / Olivier Ingold / eros poli / Antonio Vigna

Preparing the programming of an event, thinking about the topics to be covered and linking them together effectively requires time and expertise. Involving women who determine its success is a challenge. These ingredients have been a great motivation and since the second edition the commitment has been growing. The company where I have worked for 36 years, Thales Alenia Space has believed in this project from the beginning by being the first to provide patronage from the space industry. The greatest satisfaction is the climate that is established between women of great value, the network of brilliant women to support the talent and professionalism of women. “No women no panel” is the campaign conceived by the European Commission, by the European Commissioner Mariya Gabriel. This event has once again shown that women are there and bring their talent and professionalism to debates and public events, you just have to call them. Thanks to all the scientists who trusted me when I asked for their participation. In particular for this edition I thank the speakers: For climate changes and protection of our planet: Maria Fabrizia Buongiorno Maria Cristina Facchini Simonetta Cheli excellently represented by Claudia Vitolo For exploration and its magic: ANNAMARIA PIRAS Paola Capaldo Stefania De Pascale Valentina Sumini For knowledge of the cosmos: @Mariafelicia De Laurentis, @Viviana Casasola, Margherita Cardi For the passion in disseminating: Marilisa Pischedda, Ilaria Lucrezia Rossi , Paola Catapano A great winning team again this year 💪🏼 thanks again 🤩

France’s CSO military observation constellation is now complete, following the successful launch of the CSO-3 satellite. Launched by ARIANESPACE aboard an Ariane 6 rocket, this satellite marks a major leap forward for European defense, and we are proud to have played a central role in bringing this cutting-edge system to life. Designed and built by Thales Alenia Space’s teams in France, Spain and Belgium, its ultra-high-resolution optical instrument — the most powerful in Europe — delivers unmatched image precision, even in the most extreme conditions. From the Helios satellites to the CSO system, our expertise in high-performance optical systems has consistently met the most demanding intelligence and defense requirements. This success underscores our ability to address the evolving challenges of French and European sovereignty. This is truly a testament to the excellence of the French space industry — not only that of prime contractors Thales Alenia Space and Airbus Defence and Space, but also of all the key partners in the Defense Technological Industrial Base, including Sodern, LYNRED, Air Liquide, and Thales SESO, to name just a few. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to making the CSO system a reality! 🚀 Thales Leonardo DGA - Direction générale de l'armement CNES ARIANESPACE Herve DERREY Giampiero Di Paolo Bertrand Denis Christophe Valorge Aurélien CARUCCI Accarier Simon Jean-Yann THIBAULT Laura Berneri
