Last week, our team attended the Towards Sustainable Aviation Summit (TSAS) organized by 3AF, the French Aerospace Society, in Toulouse, France. Our team members, Francesco Bertini, Sara Rocci Denis, Massimo Martini and Antonio Peschiulli, showcased our latest technological advancements to enable hybrid electric engine architecture and to advance hydrogen combustion through the Avio Aero-led Clean Aviation AMBER and HYDEA projects. A special thanks also to Luca Bedon, our Head of Research and Technology, for delivering a keynote speech on how GE Aerospace and Avio Aero are moving innovation forward with Clean Aviation technology demonstrators in Europe. Abbiamo partecipato oggi all’evento "SPOKE 12 – Innovative Propulsion", organizzato dal Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) e dedicato ai risultati conseguiti da SPOKE 12 MOST nell’ambito della propulsione sostenibile. La nostra Stefania Migaldi ha parlato del ruolo dei Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) nella strategia di riduzione delle emissioni di CO2 in relazione alle nuove architetture motore ibrido-elettriche, alimentate a idrogeno e open fan, incluse nei progetti Clean Aviation #AMBER, #HYDEA e #OFELIA, approfondendo anche alcune tematiche tecnico-economiche. Lo Spoke 12, coordinato dal CNR, mira a creare una rete di competenze e laboratori per sviluppare soluzioni avanzate per il trasporto sostenibile. Avio Aero Prague has recently achieved the validation of the EASA Type Certificate for the H85-200 turboprop engine from the Civil Aviation Authority of Chile (DGCA). The H85-200 engine powers the L 410 NG aircraft, which is manufactured by Aircraft Industries, a.s., a member of the OMNIPOL a.s. group This validation paves the way for the L410NG to enter service with the Chilean airline Aerocardal, marking the first operation of the L410 in Latin America. "Our team successfully navigated the rigorous Type Certificate (TC) Validation process with the Chilean Civil Aviation Authorities. We demonstrated the H85-200 turboprop engine's capability for safe operation and showcased the extensive evaluations conducted during the H-series certification campaign under EASA, which fully comply with the DGCA Chile regulations for propulsion and powerplants," said Ali Douibi, Head of Airworthiness at Avio Aero Prague. #weareavioaero #turboprop Airplane photo: Dylan Morrison

The premier aerospace R&D event of the year, the 2025 AIAA SciTech Forum, was held this week in Orlando, Florida. Our Andrea Milli took center stage in a special session on Clean Aviation, showcasing our groundbreaking project AMBER. Andrea also joined a panel on disruptive propulsion technologies for next-generation aircraft, where he spotlighted our innovative work also in the EU Projects HYDEA and OFELIA.
