Towards boosting small business landscape in Egypt and promoting the formalization of the informal sector, the Egyptian government introduced new tax incentives in a recent press conference. These simplified tax measures target small businesses, startups and freelancers with annual turnover not exceeding EGP 15 million. بالإشارة إلى الدور الفعال الذي يلعبه مركز سينرجيز للدراسات الدولية والاستراتيجية كشريك بحثي وتنفيذي للجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة The American University in Cairo وتحت لواء وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي في تنفيذ USAID Egyptian Pioneers - برنامج رواد وعلماء مصر وبناء على جدول الأعمال الذي تم إعداده من قبل الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة في إطار التحضيرات الخاصة بورشة العمل التي عقدت مساء الإثنين الموافق 26 أغسطس 2024 وبحضور معالي وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي الدكتور/ محمد أيمن عاشور وعدد من قيادات المحافظات ولفيف من روؤساء الجامعات الحكومية والأهلية والمراكز البحثية والجهات التابعة وبنوك القطاع الحكومي، أدارت الأستاذة رهام مرسي مدير الأبحاث ومؤسس شريك لمركز سينرجيز للدراسات الدولية والاستراتيجية جلسة حوارية مع مستفيدي ومسؤولي تواصل الدفعة الأولى عن تجربتهم ورؤياهم للبرنامج، عَقِب ذلك جلسة تعلم أدارتها الأستاذة هدير عبدالوهاب مدير البرامج بالمركز بالمشاركة مع الأستاذة نسرين عبدالمجيد مستشار المتابعة والتعلم والتقييم بالجامعة الأمريكية حول أهم الإنجازات والفرص والدروس المستفادة من الدفعة الأولى. وانتهت الورشة بعرض تقديمي من الأستاذة نسمة بيومي استشاري البرامج بالمركز عن مراحل التقديم ونموذج إبداء الرغبة للالتحاق ومعايير القبول الخاصة بالدفعة الثانية.

The 2nd #AfriThreads report in our active partnership with the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) is titled “Governance mechanisms for the implementation of Agenda 2063 and Agenda 2030.” The report was published in partnership with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and The Sustainable Development Goals Center for Africa (SDGC/A) and it sheds light on African countries' efforts in applying governance mechanisms.
