What to know about Agenda 2063. The General Assembly of the Africa Union adopted Agenda 2063 in 2015. It is structured as a 50-year development blueprint, implemented through five (5) 10-year implementation plan. Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for the socio-economic transformation of Africa into a global powerhouse of the future. It outlined the strategic framework that aims to deliver on its goals for inclusive and sustainable development. It's aimed at realizing the Africa we want by integrating prosperous, peaceful Africa driven by its citizens and representing a dynamic force in the international arena. Agenda 2063 is divided into the following seven key areas: 1. A prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth and development. 2. Integrated continet, politically United and based on ideals Pan-Africanism and vision of Africa renaissance. 3. An Africa of good governance, democracy, respect for human rights, justice and the rule of law. 4. A peaceful and secure Africa 5. An Africa with a strong cultural identity, common heritage shared value and ethics. 6. An Africa whose development is people driven relying on the potential of Africa people especially it's women & youths and caring for children 7.
