The best therapeutic bonds are built on trust When patients feel a genuine connection with their therapist, the healing journey becomes a collaborative effort. Therapists actively listen and empathise to create an environment where patients feel valued and understood. Paving the way for open communication. How do they do this? Taking the time to truly hear a clients' concerns. Understanding the emotional and physical challenges clients face. Honest discussions about treatment options, possible outcomes, and any uncertainties. Collaboratively involving patients in decision-making. When trust is established, patients are more likely to do the work and open up. Every individual's well-being is built on a foundation of trust. Together, let's foster health, trust, and healing. #trust #therapy #healing

Anxiety can interrupt your daily functioning. Its impact on daily life is far-reaching and can perpetuate a cycle where it leads to behaviors or situations that, in turn, increase anxiety. Fortunately, studies show that when clients practice skills and therapeutic exercises between therapy sessions, their likelihood of a successful outcome increases from 32% to 68%. Those outcomes include reduced symptoms and tools to empower patients to manage anxiety triggers. But as a therapist, how do you ensure that your patients do their homework between sessions? It can be almost impossible to call all your clients multiple times each week to remind them to practice skills. This is where we can help. Visit the Adhere.ly Insights section. A lot of times, clients come to therapy after being referred by another physician. Sometimes they are asked to get therapy by their loved ones. At times they feel like getting help on their own. Whatever the case, the success of the therapeutic process largely depends on the inclination & free will of the client to take active part in their journey towards self discovery & healing. As therapists, it is imperative that we not only get informed consent at the start of the therapeutic process but regularly check-in with the client to ensure that they remain comfortable and willing participants. And if we feel, at some point, that the client seems unwilling or disinterested we should explore the reasons and address the underlying cause. Discuss the possibility of reevaluating the process & support their decision, if they choose to discontinue therapy. #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #choosetherapy Image by Vecteezy
