Join us and Women Wednesdays tomorrow, Wednesday, July 17th at 1:00pm to discuss how we can create more opportunities for women and girls of diverse backgrounds in the robust fields of science & technology. Across the country, STEAM education is inextricably tied to job opportunities, economic growth and community vitality. Opening these opportunities to more women and girls of diverse backgrounds—is an important component of elevating people and communities. Dr. Faye Jones, along with the FSU CCI, is incorporating strategies to broaden participation in STEM by building pipelines. An example is iCamp, where local high schoolers are exposed to career opportunities in computing, technology, and engineering, is having impact. But there is so much more we can do to empowHER for both women and girls in this important field! Join us for a virtual discussion to learn more about iCamp, STEAM and on how we can grow such opportunities for the women and girls of our community and beyond. And what are steps we can take to help continue important progress? Whether you join us LIVE or watch later, your engagement is welcomed and appreciated. Join in at: https://lnkd.in/eWwhBVe, 1-2pm, Wednesdays, July 17
