Last week ended on a high as I finally brought together plans that have been brewing in my mind for months. These plans are set to make a significant impact on education, communities, and business relationships and growth on a localised level Talking with the department of levelling up made me realise I needed to get these on paper and press forward all 3 plans equally impactful and based on my understanding of my local community and to compliment work that’s being done but in a unique way In the realm of education, these plans will align perfectly with the skills agenda, supporting the Gatsby benchmarking. They will provide students with brilliant opportunities to connect with industry professionals, bridging the gap between academia and the real world. This initiative aims to empower students with practical knowledge and insights that will enhance their career readiness and prospects. the plan is designed to develop educational pathways specifically in the agrifood sectors and wider businesses and cement our purposeful and positive partnerships as we all work together for our communities By focusing on these key areas, we aim to create a comprehensive framework that not only educates but also prepares the next generation for success in these critical industries. This holistic approach will nurture talent, foster innovation, and drive sustainable growth in the agrifood sectors and beyond. uk FPN Lincolnshire Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce I am excited about the potential of these plans to transform education, empower students, and drive meaningful change in the agrifood sectors and wider business landscape. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting journey! #EducationTransformation #IndustryConnections #AgrifoodInnovation

A results orientated manager and business professional with a highly developed commercial awareness and understanding.
The FAST-IP programme team are very pleased with the results of the participant recruitment campaign to date. The success of FAST-IP will depend to a great extent on attracting the right mix of high calibre individuals to the programme. FAST-IP is designed to facilitate mid-career individuals who are interested in pivoting towards an entrepreneurial journey based on the development of an innovative technology in the agfood sector. A fundamental underpinning of the programme is that participants will come to it with an open mind as to potential innovations and without any preconceived biases towards an existing idea that they might like to explore - that is not what FAST-IP is about. This programme is based around discovering real world needs through exposure to industry environments in the agfood supply chain and bringing innovative solutions to bear on such needs in a commercially viable manner. The approach to suitable applicants is very much a broad church one. There is no requirement to have an agfood background of any sort; applications are encouraged from people in all industries. A blend of participants from a range of backgrounds will deliver a valuable dynamic to the programme. An important step on the journey to the startup enterprises that will grow from the programme will be the formation of project teams to work on the solutions to the needs identified; a mix of different experiences and personality types brings significant strengths in this regard. The recruitment process will continue over the coming weeks as the team seeks to build a cohort of motivated and talented participants to undertake the first iteration of FAST-IP. I encourage anybody meeting the criteria and with an interest in building a business that will deliver innovative solutions in support of sustainable ag and food sectors to engage with the process as early as possible. Interest is already high and is likely to build even further in the coming weeks. We look forward to welcoming the first cohort to AgTechUCD Innovation Centre on UCD Lyons Farm later in the year. #euinmyregion

One Big Thing has officially launched! 🎉 It has been an eventful six months with Eela Muhaimin leading on the design and delivery of one of the most ambitious public sector innovation programmes ever attempted. One Big Thing is about using the combined creativity of the Civil Service to improve how we work and how we serve the public. Over the next four months, over 500,000 civil servants will be given the opportunity to make small, impactful changes to tackle local challenges. What does it entail? 1️⃣ The Innovation Masterclass e-learning, which sets out the key steps for taking an idea from inception to implementation as well as the core behaviours for building an innovative culture. 2️⃣ A team conversation to apply the learning and identify a small change to tackle a local problem. 3️⃣ Empowering teams to experiment with implementing the small changes before sharing the outcome on the One Big Thing platform. Special thanks to Lauren Mayor, Rene Soltermann and Jessica Nolan for helping develop our new innovation training and to scale-up Wazoku, Rikki Bains and Dino Ribic for building a platform for civil servants to collaborate, track progress, and share their small changes and innovations across government. 💡 None of this would have been possible without the sponsorship and support from Jo Shanmugalingam, Sapana Agrawal and Kate Lalor who have been instrumental in shaping the programme and securing the necessary buy-in from leadership in departments. 🚀 #onebigthing #innovation

Participation of KROK Business School in PRME Global Forum 2024 PRME Global Forum this year was held online on June 18-19 with the motto: Faster to the common goal of sustainable development 🌍 The event brought together students, faculty, deans, board members and other stakeholders to discuss the latest innovations and challenges in the field of responsible business education from more than 100 business schools around the world. Lyudmila Kosovych, head of the Center for Sustainable Development and Oksana Sedashova, associate professor of the Department of Management and Innovative Development of the KROK Business School took part in the Forum. 🔍 PRME Global Forum 2024 Strategic Vision: The Forum aimed to accelerate responsible business education's global collective impact and create a learning space and foster networking among participants. Among the forum speakers were representatives of business, academia, the UN, the public sector and the PRME community, who worked together to accelerate the positive impact of responsible management and business education on future leaders. 🗓️ The program of the event was dynamic. It included various panel discussions dedicated to creating social impact and responsibility in the digital future. These breakout sessions considered ways to apply the principles of responsible business education in key disciplines. A special discussion was devoted to the impact of responsible management education on SMEs, which are the most sensitive to educational trends in the world. For us, as representatives of the Business School in warring Ukraine, it was especially important to share our difficult experience of supporting our students and businesses studying with us, while simultaneously developing sustainability and responsibility in approaches to learning 🌟 Awards and recognition: The forum showcased best practices and presented awards such as the PRME Faculty Teaching Awards, the PRME Global Student Sustainability Award, and the Award for Excellence in SIP Reporting 2023. For KROK Business School, as an ambitious and modern Ukrainian business school, it is important to be at the forefront of the global agenda in business education, so we will continue to share the experience of our participation in international forums in the future. #PRME #Sustainable Development #KROKBusinessschool

Reflections on the Business Sustainability and Innovation Level 7 Module: A Journey of Learning and Connection Over the recent days, I've been privileged to partake in an immersive learning experience through the Skill Up program, specifically focusing on the "Business Sustainability and Innovation" module. This journey has not only deepened my understanding of sustainable business practices but has also connected me with a diverse group of exceptional individuals, each contributing their unique insights and experiences. Victoria, with her robust academic background from Irish and American universities, has been a beacon of knowledge and ethical commitment. Her nuanced understanding of business, coupled with a profound concern for global issues, such as the conflict in Ukraine, exemplifies the kind of empathetic leadership that is crucial in today's world. Julia's journey from leading a sustainable company to joining our group has been nothing short of inspirational. Her dedication and vision for sustainable business practices offer invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities within the Northern Ireland business sector. I must also highlight the contributions of a passionate learner from Kent, who has demonstrated remarkable commitment by crossing borders to join this course, and a dear friend from the North Coast. The diverse backgrounds and perspectives within our group have fostered a rich environment of mutual support and rapid growth. Our visit to the Academia Restaurant at Ulster University was a defining moment of the module. As the UK and Ireland's first restaurant to receive the prestigious Green Key certificate, it served as a live case study in applying sustainable business practices, underpinning the critical theories and concepts we've been discussing. This module has underscored the importance of collaboration, diversity, and innovation in shaping the future of sustainable business. I am immensely grateful for the insights gained and the connections made. Here's to a future where we continue to learn, grow, and lead in sustainability and innovation. #UlsterUniversity #Sustainability #Innovation #SkillUp #FutureLeaders #BusinessSustainability #PostgraduateModule
