Thanks to SLB Education, the The University of Texas at Austin is pioneering a new approach to architectural education with the next iteration of its innovative design studio, “Time for Timber-FRAMING.” Through collaboration with the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, students are engaged in real-world projects that equip them with the skills needed for modern wood construction systems and foster a deep understanding of wood as a material, its properties, and its role within sustainable architectural practices. Done with the summer vacation. A great traveling concept with public transportation, visiting friends and family, experiencing variety of different food, architecture, historical, nature and science locations and events. The most exciting of all was maybe the 60 minutes I spent building a draft of modular construction concept. In this picture you can see a modular 2 x 2 flat construction. This scales up in all directions and has the structural support as well. What did you create during this summer?

I wanted to share with you my participation in a unique training program "Immersive Design and New Digital Competences for the Rehabilitation and Valorization of the Built Environment" to deepen my knowledge of preserving and restoring cultural heritage. I have completed a training program focused on mastering interactive design techniques applied in the restoration and design of heritage buildings.

Hello everyone...!! -I am grateful to share this new progress with you structural system course WYA+ waleed Yasin. -The course revolves around the types of construction systems in general and the systems fit for use in the architecture and adapted in the architecture to reach the desired architectural form starting from the solid slab system to pre-casting concrete and composite systems. -Egyptian code, armaments and concrete requirements to be available during implementation, as well as American code. -Then apply some projects like residential villa and so on. -The final project in the course was the distribution of the structural system of study buildings containing administrative rooms, staff offices, classrooms, halls and gathering places with different dimensions. -Several structural systems have been used, including solid slab, paneled beams and frames depending on the nature of the building and activity within the vacuum. - I recommend WYA platform it has useful courses for undergraduate student. - Thanks, Dr/ Waleed Yasin for your efforts. #Standards #WorkingGroups #WorkingGroupCoordination #Habitats #HabitatTeams #HabitatTeamCoordination #TransitionTeams #TransitionTeamCoordination
