Equality Bodies play a vital role in addressing discrimination, enhancing inclusion and supporting victims. But, as highlighted by Ferda Ataman, Head of the Federal Antidiscrimination Agency and Sandra Konstatzky, Equinet Executive Board Member and Director of the Austrian Ombud for Equal Treatment, Equality Bodies need to be independent, have a wider mandate and enhanced powers to more effectively ensure equality. That's why the approval of the Directives on Standards for Equality Bodies is so crucial. They would set binding standards for all Equality Bodies in Europe and thus set the stage for a future where every individual can enjoy their rights and opportunities without fear of discrimination. Learn more about #EqualityBodies and the need to strengthen these vital institutions through #StandardsForEqualityBodies by watching the rest of the video: https://lnkd.in/dAsXyvvD 📖 Dive deeper into the legislation on Standards for Equality Bodies: https://lnkd.in/dG8_zScJ
