Understanding Cervicitis: Symptoms to Watch For   Cervicitis is an inflammation of the cervix that can be caused by infections or irritations. It’s important to recognise the symptoms so that you can seek medical advice if needed. Some key signs to look out for include an abnormal vaginal discharge. You may notice a change in your discharge, which can be heavier or have an unusual odour. Some women might experience pain during intercourse or persistent pain in the pelvic area which may also indicate inflammation. Spotting or bleeding between periods or after sex is another warning sign. Some women might also experience painful urination or an increased urge to urinate. It’s important that you contact a healthcare professional, if you are experiencing any of these symptoms, for proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
